你的财宝、商品、货物、水手、掌舵的、修补船缝的、进行货物交易的，并你那里所有的战士和你中间所有的军队，在你倾覆的日子都必沉在海底。因掌舵者的呼声，郊野就必震动。所有划桨的都从他们的船下来；水手和所有在海上掌舵的，都要登岸。他们必为你放声痛哭，撒尘土于头上，在灰中打滚；又为你使头光秃，用麻布束腰，号啕痛哭，痛苦至极。他们哀号的时候，为你作哀歌，为你痛哭：有何城如推罗，在海中沉寂呢？你由海上运出商品，使许多民族充裕；你以许多财宝货物令地上的君王丰富。在深水中被海浪打破的时候，你的货物和你中间所有的军队都下沉。海岛所有的居民为你惊奇，他们的君王都甚恐慌，面带愁容。万民中的商人向你发嘘声；你令人惊恐，不再存留于世，直到永远。”

我百姓的罪孽比所多玛的罪还大；所多玛虽无人伸手攻击，转眼之间就被倾覆。

巴比伦忽然倾覆毁坏；要为它哀号，拿乳香来止它的疼痛，或者可以治好。
