The Lord said to Satan,“ Where have you come from?” Satan answered the Lord,“ From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.” (niv)

Can plunder be taken from warriors, or captives be rescued from the fierce?But this is what the Lord says:“ Yes, captives will be taken from warriors, and plunder retrieved from the fierce; I will contend with those who contend with you, and your children I will save. (niv)

The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you. (niv)

“ What do you want with us, Son of God?” they shouted.“ Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?” (niv)

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. (niv)

The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority. (niv)

Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring— those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus. (niv)

They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon and in Greek is Apollyon( that is, Destroyer). (niv)

People worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked,“ Who is like the beast? Who can wage war against it?” (niv)

Then from his mouth the serpent spewed water like a river, to overtake the woman and sweep her away with the torrent. (niv)
