And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.

Suppose someone takes away any words from this book of prophecy. Then God will take away from that person the blessings told about in this book. God will take away their share in the tree of life. God will also take away their place in the Holy City.

流於大邑通衢中。川之兩畔、有生命樹；菓十二種、月有所產；葉可入藥、醫治萬民。

哀哉明律士！爾曹奪去知識之管籥、己不願進、亦不容人之進也。』

願其罪上加罪兮。無與於吾主之恩光。

又聞一音發自天上曰：『書之：此後庇主之蔭而死者、洵為有福。聖神曰：「誠哉、若輩必得釋其勞苦、而永享安寧；以若輩平生功德常隨其身。」』

凡百折不撓、終克致勝者、吾當使其充任天主殿中之柱石而永不見擯於外且將以吾天主之名、與吾天主聖邑、即發自吾天主、由天而降者新耶路撒冷之名、以及我之新名、一并題諸其額。

凡百折不撓、終克致勝、服膺吾道、至死不渝者、吾將賜以統治萬民之權、一若吾所受於父者、

未幾、望見不可勝數之群眾、係來自各種、各族、遐荒、重譯者；一律身着白袍、手持鳳尾棕枝、肅立寶座與羔羊前、眾口同聲而呼曰：「我之得救、實賴位於寶座者及羔羊之洪恩。」眾天神環繞寶座及諸老四靈物而立者、至是悉皆俯伏座前、頂禮天主曰：「願我天主受享一切頌讚、一切光榮、一切妙慧、一切稱謝、一切尊貴、一切權能、永世靡暨、心焉祝之！」時一老者詢予曰：「彼身着白袍者誰？何自而來也？」予應之曰：「公自知之。」渠乃語予曰：若輩來自憂患中、備嘗艱辛、曾藉羔羊之血、自濯其袍、所服皜皜乎不可尚已；故得奉事天主於寶座之前、朝朝暮暮、不離聖殿；位於寶座者且將庇之於閟帷之下焉。若輩不復饑渴、日不得而曝之、火不得而爇之；蓋座前羔羊將親為之牧、導之引之、以至活水之源；而天主且將親拭其目中之淚也。

凡百折不撓、終克致勝者、吾必賜其與吾同坐於吾位之上、亦如吾之終克致勝而獲與吾父同坐於厥位之上也。

凡讀此預言、及聞而守之者、洵為有福；蓋時已近矣。

願凡有耳者、諦聽聖神對諸教會之訓示：凡百折不撓、終克致勝者、則二次之死無得而害之。

雖然、在爾撒爾底亦頗有若干人涅而不緇、迄今未汙其服；若輩當得身被道袍、而從我遊矣。凡百折不撓、終克致勝者、必得被以白袍；吾當使厥名長留生命冊上、而永不見削、且認之於吾父及眾天神之前也。

「我來在即、其拭目以待！我攜有報應、各按其行以施之。

凡厥名自創世以來未錄於被宰羔羊之生命冊者、咸將翕然、景仰此獸。

願凡有耳者、諦聽聖神對諸教會之訓示：凡百折不撓、終克致勝者、吾必食以上主樂園生命之菓也。

願凡有耳者、諦聽聖神對諸教會之訓示：凡百折不撓、終克致勝者、吾必賜以潛藏之瑪納、頒以白圭、上鐫新名、惟受者識之、非外人所得而知也。爾其寓書於第亞底拉教會之守護天神曰：彼天主聖子、目如火燄、足如精銅者、有所曉諭於爾：

顧吾未見有聖殿、以全能天主及其羔羊、即為斯邑之聖殿故。斯邑亦無需日月之照臨、蓋以天主之榮耀為光、而以羔羊為燈也。天下萬國皆得行於斯光之中。而率土百王、咸將歸其榮華於斯光。晝不閉門、而斯邑固不夜城也。萬國之榮華歸之；一切不淨及邪妄之徒、莫得而入；惟錄名於羔羊之生命冊者得入焉。

我若望親睹聖邑新耶路撒冷發自天主、降自雲間、儼若新人、凝粧而待其夫壻。
