「你要寫信告訴撒狄教會的天使，有上帝的七靈又有七顆星的主說，『我知道你的行為，你名義上活著，實際上是死的。

『你要寫信給在撒狄教會的使者說：『「那擁有着上帝之七靈和七星的這麼說：我知道你的行為：你名雖是活着，其實乃是死的。

「你要給那在薩迪斯教會的使者寫信說：「那位有神的七個靈和七顆星的，這樣說：我知道你的行為，你名義上是活的，其實你是死的。

“ To the angel of the church in Sardis write: These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead.

“ Here is what I command you to write to the church in Sardis. Here are the words of Jesus, who holds the seven spirits of God. He has the seven stars in his hand. He says,‘ I know what you are doing. People think you are alive, but you are dead.

“ And to the angel of the church in Sardis write:‘ The words of him who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars.“‘ I know your works. You have the reputation of being alive, but you are dead.

“ Write this letter to the angel of the church in Sardis. This is the message from the one who has the sevenfold Spirit of God and the seven stars:“ I know all the things you do, and that you have a reputation for being alive— but you are dead.

“ Write to the angel of the church in Sardis: Thus says the one who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars: I know your works; you have a reputation for being alive, but you are dead.

“ To the angel of the church in Sardis write: He who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars, says this:‘ I know your deeds, that you have a name that you are alive, and yet you are dead.

“ And to the angel of the church in Sardis write,‘ These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars:“ I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.

And to the angel of the church in Sardis write: These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars: I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and thou art dead.

“ Write to the angel of the church in Sardis:“ The One who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars says: I know your works; you have a reputation for being alive, but you are dead.

And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.

“ To the angel of the church in Sardis write the following:“ This is the solemn pronouncement of the one who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars:‘ I know your deeds, that you have a reputation that you are alive, but in reality you are dead.

“ And to the angel of the assembly in Sardis write:“ He who has the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars says these things:“ I know your works, that you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead.

但貪圖享受的寡婦雖然活著，卻已經死了。

我約翰寫信給你們亞細亞的七間教會。願昔在、今在、以後永在的上帝，祂寶座前的七靈和耶穌基督賜給你們恩典和平安。耶穌基督是忠心的見證人，是首先從死裡復活的，是世上君王的首領。祂愛我們，用自己的血救我們脫離罪惡，

身體沒有靈魂是死的，同樣，信心沒有行為也是死的。

『我知道你的行為、愛心、信心、事奉、堅忍，也知道你末後所做的善事比起初更多。

你們從前死在過犯和未被割除的罪惡本性中，但現在上帝卻使你們與基督一同活了過來。上帝赦免了我們一切的過犯，

這些人在你們的愛宴中是敗類。他們肆無忌憚地吃喝，是只顧餵養自己的牧人；是沒有雨的雲，隨風飄蕩；是深秋不結果子的樹，被連根拔起，徹底枯死。

儘管我們死在過犯之中，祂仍然使我們和基督一同活了過來。你們得救是因為上帝的恩典。

可是你弟弟是死而復活、失而復得的，所以我們應該歡喜快樂。』」

因我這兒子是死而復活、失而復得的。』於是他們歡宴慶祝。

祂右手拿著七顆星，口中吐出一把兩刃的利劍，面貌如烈日放光。

你們從前死在過犯和罪惡之中。

『我知道你住在撒旦稱王的地方。當我忠心的見證人安提帕在你們這撒旦盤踞之處殉道的時候，你仍然堅守我的名，仍然信靠我。

從寶座中有閃電、響聲、雷鳴發出，寶座前面燃燒著七把火炬，代表上帝的七靈。

「把你所看見的寫在書上，然後送給以弗所、士每拿、別迦摩、推雅推喇、撒狄、非拉鐵非和老底嘉七間教會。」

我又看到寶座、四個活物和眾長老之間站著一隻好像是被宰殺過的羔羊。祂身上的七隻角和七隻眼睛代表奉差遣到普天下去的上帝的七靈。

上帝所差來的，說的是上帝的話，因為上帝將聖靈無限量地賜給祂。

你所看見在我右手中的七顆星和七個金燈臺的奧祕是，七顆星代表七間教會的天使，七個燈臺代表七間教會。「你要寫信告訴以弗所教會的天使，那位右手拿著七顆星、往來於七個金燈臺中间的主說，『我知道你的行為、勞碌和堅忍，也知道你嫉惡如仇，曾查驗出那些假冒的使徒，揭穿他們的虛假。

從祂的豐盛裡，我們一次又一次地領受了恩典。

我本來不認識祂，但那位差我來用水給人施洗的告訴我，『你看見聖靈降下，住在誰身上，誰就是用聖靈給人施洗的。』

然後祂向他們吹了一口氣，說：「你們領受聖靈吧！

基督的靈曾在他們心中指示他們，預言基督要受苦，然後得榮耀。他們便詳細查考這些事會在什麼時候、什麼情況下發生。

節期最後一天，也是整個節期的高潮，耶穌站起來高聲說：「人若渴了，可以到我這裡來喝。正如聖經所言，信我的人，『從他裡面要流出活水的江河來』。」耶穌這話是指信祂的人要得到聖靈，但當時聖靈還沒有降臨，因為耶穌還沒有得到榮耀。

現在祂升到上帝的右邊，從天父領受了所應許的聖靈，並將聖靈澆灌下來，你們今天也耳聞目睹了。

『我知道你遭受的苦難和貧窮，其實你是富足的。我也知道那些人對你的毀謗，他們自稱為猶太人，其實不是，而是撒旦的同夥。

「我要從父那裡為你們差護慰者來，祂就是從父而來的真理之靈。祂來了要為我做見證。你們也要為我做見證，因為你們從開始就與我在一起。
