The person who lacks these things is blind and shortsighted and has forgotten the cleansing from his past sins.

You are already full! You are already rich! You have begun to reign as kings without us— and I wish you did reign, so that we could also reign with you!For I think God has displayed us, the apostles, in last place, like men condemned to die: We have become a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to people.We are fools for Christ, but you are wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are dishonored!

Evil generation, pay attention to the word of the LORD! Have I been a wilderness to Israel or a land of dense darkness? Why do my people claim,“ We will go where we want; we will no longer come to you”?

Now if you call yourself a Jew, and rely on the law, and boast in God,and know his will, and approve the things that are superior, being instructed from the law,and if you are convinced that you are a guide for the blind, a light to those in darkness,an instructor of the ignorant, a teacher of the immature, having the embodiment of knowledge and truth in the law—you then, who teach another, don’t you teach yourself? You who preach,“ You must not steal”— do you steal?You who say,“ You must not commit adultery”— do you commit adultery? You who detest idols, do you rob temples?You who boast in the law, do you dishonor God by breaking the law?

And he said,“ I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid.”Then he asked,“ Who told you that you were naked? Did you eat from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?”
