For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you.For we are strangers before you and sojourners, as all our fathers were. Our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no abiding.O Lord our God, all this abundance that we have provided for building you a house for your holy name comes from your hand and is all your own.

And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,

Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship you, for your righteous acts have been revealed.”

And he said to him,“ All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me.”Then Jesus said to him,“ Be gone, Satan! For it is written,“‘ You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.’”

May all kings fall down before him, all nations serve him!

I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me,but he said to me,“ You must not do that! And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who is seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever,

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.

Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell on the ground and worshiped.

Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!
