At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it.

At once the Holy Spirit gave me a vision. There in front of me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it.

“ As I looked,“ thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. His clothing was as white as snow; the hair of his head was white like wool. His throne was flaming with fire, and its wheels were all ablaze. (niv)

In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. (niv)

Now the main point of what we are saying is this: We do have such a high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven, (niv)

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lambdown the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. (niv)

Amen!”Then one of the elders asked me,“ These in white robes— who are they, and where did they come from?”I answered,“ Sir, you know.” And he said,“ These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.Therefore,“ they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence.‘ Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat down on them,’ nor any scorching heat.For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd;‘ he will lead them to springs of living water.’‘ And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’” (niv)

A glorious throne, exalted from the beginning, is the place of our sanctuary. (niv)
