可是長老中有一位對我說：「不要哭了！看哪，那出於猶大支派的獅子、大衛的根已經得勝，可以打開那書卷和它的七個封印。」

長老之一遂謂我曰、勿哭、猶大支之獅、大衛之根、已獲勝、以啟此卷、及其七印、

一老語我曰、勿哭猶大支派之獅、大闢根株所萌、能啟七緘、而展其册、

長老之一語我曰、勿哭、猶太支派之獅、自大衛根所萌者、自大衛根所萌者原文作大衛之根已得勝、能開此卷解其七印、

一老謂予曰：「毋哭也！彼猶太之獅、大維根株之萌蘖已戰勝一切、因得展其卷而啟其緘矣。」

Then one of the elders said to me,“ Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.”

Then one of the elders said to me,“ Do not cry! The Lion of the tribe of Judah has won the battle. He is the Root of David. He is able to break the seven seals and open the scroll.”

And one of the elders said to me,“ Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.”

But one of the twenty four elders said to me,“ Stop weeping! Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the heir to David’s throne, has won the victory. He is worthy to open the scroll and its seven seals.”

Then one of the elders said to me,“ Do not weep. Look, the Lion from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered so that he is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.”

And one of the elders* said to me,“ Stop weeping; behold, the Lion that is from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome so as to be able to open the scroll and its seven seals.”

But one of the elders said to me,“ Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.”

and one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not; behold, the Lion that is of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath overcome to open the book and the seven seals thereof.

Then one of the elders said to me,“ Stop crying. Look! The Lion from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has been victorious so that He may open the scroll and its seven seals.”

And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

Then one of the elders said to me,“ Stop weeping! Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, has conquered; thus he can open the scroll and its seven seals.”

One of the elders said to me,“ Don’t weep. Behold, the Lion who is of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome: he who opens the book and its seven seals.”

A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit. (niv)

“ The days are coming,” declares the Lord,“ when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land.In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will live in safety. And again, Isaiah says,“ The Root of Jesse will spring up, one who will arise to rule over the nations; in him the Gentiles will hope.” (niv)

“ I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.” (niv)

For it is clear that our Lord descended from Judah, and in regard to that tribe Moses said nothing about priests. (niv)

In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to him, and his resting place will be glorious. (niv)

regarding his Son, who as to his earthly life was a descendant of David, (niv)

You are a lion’s cub, Judah; you return from the prey, my son. Like a lion he crouches and lies down, like a lioness— who dares to rouse him?The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he to whom it belongs shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be his. I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder,“ Come!” (niv)

Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders. They were dressed in white and had crowns of gold on their heads. (niv)

This is what the Lord says:“ Restrain your voice from weeping and your eyes from tears, for your work will be rewarded,” declares the Lord.“ They will return from the land of the enemy. (niv)

the twenty- four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say: (niv)

The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants what must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John, (niv)

Then one of the elders asked me,“ These in white robes— who are they, and where did they come from?” (niv)

They asked her,“ Woman, why are you crying?”“ They have taken my Lord away,” she said,“ and I don’t know where they have put him.” (niv)

When the Lord saw her, his heart went out to her and he said,“ Don’t cry.” (niv)

Like a lion they crouch and lie down, like a lioness— who dares to rouse them?“ May those who bless you be blessed and those who curse you be cursed!” (niv)

Jesus turned and said to them,“ Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me; weep for yourselves and for your children. (niv)

Meanwhile, all the people were wailing and mourning for her.“ Stop wailing,” Jesus said.“ She is not dead but asleep.” (niv)
