剪虫剩下的，蝗虫来吃；蝗虫剩下的，蝻子来吃；蝻子剩下的，蚂蚱来吃。

我打发到你们中间的大军队，就是蝗虫、蝻子、蚂蚱、剪虫，那些年所吃的，我要补还你们。

但不许蝗虫害死他们，只叫他们受痛苦五个月。这痛苦就像蝎子螫人的痛苦一样。

有尾巴像蝎子，尾巴上的毒钩能伤人五个月。有无底坑的使者作它们的王，按着希伯来话，名叫亚巴顿，希腊话，名叫亚玻伦。

我父亲使你们负重轭，我必使你们负更重的轭！我父亲用鞭子责打你们，我要用蝎子鞭责打你们！’”

米甸人、亚玛力人，和一切东方人都布散在平原，如同蝗虫那样多。他们的骆驼无数，多如海边的沙。

在那里，火必烧灭你；刀必杀戮你，吞灭你如同蝻子。任你加增人数多如蝻子，多如蝗虫吧！

你若不肯容我的百姓去，明天我要使蝗虫进入你的境内，遮满地面，甚至看不见地，并且吃那冰雹所剩的和田间所长的一切树木。你的宫殿和你众臣仆的房屋，并一切埃及人的房屋，都要被蝗虫占满了；自从你祖宗和你祖宗的祖宗在世以来，直到今日，没有见过这样的灾。’”摩西就转身离开法老出去。法老的臣仆对法老说：“这人为我们的网罗要到几时呢？容这些人去侍奉耶和华他们的神吧！埃及已经败坏了，你还不知道吗？”于是摩西、亚伦被召回来见法老；法老对他们说：“你们去侍奉耶和华你们的神；但那要去的是谁呢？”摩西说：“我们要和我们老的少的、儿子女儿同去，且把羊群牛群一同带去，因为我们务要向耶和华守节。”法老对他们说：“我容你们和你们妇人孩子去的时候，耶和华与你们同在吧！你们要谨慎；因为有祸在你们眼前，不可都去！你们这壮年人去侍奉耶和华吧，因为这是你们所求的。”于是把他们从法老面前撵出去。耶和华对摩西说：“你向埃及地伸杖，使蝗虫到埃及地上来，吃地上一切的菜蔬，就是冰雹所剩的。”摩西就向埃及地伸杖，那一昼一夜，耶和华使东风刮在埃及地上；到了早晨，东风把蝗虫刮了来。蝗虫上来，落在埃及的四境，甚是厉害；以前没有这样的，以后也必没有。因为这蝗虫遮满地面，甚至地都黑暗了，又吃地上一切的菜蔬和冰雹所剩树上的果子。埃及遍地，无论是树木，是田间的菜蔬，连一点青的也没有留下。

引你经过那大而可怕的旷野，那里有火蛇、蝎子、干旱无水之地。他曾为你使水从坚硬的磐石中流出来，

人子啊，虽有荆棘和蒺藜在你那里，你又住在蝎子中间，总不要怕他们，也不要怕他们的话；他们虽是悖逆之家，还不要怕他们的话，也不要因他们的脸色惊惶。

你们所掳的必被敛尽，好像蚂蚱吃尽禾稼。人要蹦在其上，好像蝗虫一样。

你的首领多如蝗虫；你的军长仿佛成群的蚂蚱，天凉的时候齐落在篱笆上，日头一出便都飞去，人不知道落在何处。

我已经给你们权柄可以践踏蛇和蝎子，又胜过仇敌一切的能力，断没有什么能害你们。
