That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are in Rome.

We do not boast beyond limit in the labors of others. But our hope is that as your faith increases, our area of influence among you may be greatly enlarged,so that we may preach the gospel in lands beyond you, without boasting of work already done in another’s area of influence.

For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.

She has done what she could; she has anointed my body beforehand for burial.

and thus I make it my ambition to preach the gospel, not where Christ has already been named, lest I build on someone else’s foundation,
