既然他们故意不认识上帝，上帝就任凭他们心思败坏，做不当做的事。

他们既然故意不认识神，神就任凭他们存着败坏的心，去作那些不正当的事。

既然人不愿意真正认识神，神就任凭他们存败坏的理性，去做那些不该做的事。

他們既然故意不認識神，神就任憑他們存邪僻的心，行那些不合理的事；

他們怎樣在認識上帝選擇了「無上帝」，上帝就怎樣把他們放給不上選的心思，去行不該行的事；

既然人不願意真正認識神，神就任憑他們存敗壞的理性，去做那些不該做的事。

彼知識中既不願有上帝、上帝遂任其喪心、行非宜之行、

彼既不以上帝存於中、上帝聽其喪心、行所不當行、

彼既不願存天主於念、天主聽其存邪僻之心、行所不當行者、

若輩既冥頑不靈、心棄天主、則天主亦愛莫能助、於是聽其昧心恣行、

Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.

They didn’t think it was important to know God. So God let them continue to have evil thoughts. They did things they shouldn’t do.

And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.

Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done.

And because they did not think it worthwhile to acknowledge God, God delivered them over to a corrupt mind so that they do what is not right.

And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a depraved mind, to do those things that are not proper,

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

And even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up unto a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

And because they did not think it worthwhile to acknowledge God, God delivered them over to a worthless mind to do what is morally wrong.

And even as they did not like to retain God in[ their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what should not be done.

Even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lieand so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. (niv)

They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good. (niv)

You live in the midst of deception; in their deceit they refuse to acknowledge me,” declares the Lord. (niv)

Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. (niv)

You will say,“ How I hated discipline! How my heart spurned correction!I would not obey my teachers or turn my ear to my instructors. (niv)

He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. (niv)

Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth. They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. (niv)

The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God. (niv)

They are called rejected silver, because the Lord has rejected them.” (niv)

since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the Lord. (niv)

The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.For God, who said,“ Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ. Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God— I say this to your shame. (niv)

“ How long will you who are simple love your simple ways? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge? (niv)

Yet they say to God,‘ Leave us alone! We have no desire to know your ways.Who is the Almighty, that we should serve him? What would we gain by praying to him?’ (niv)

Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you— unless, of course, you fail the test?And I trust that you will discover that we have not failed the test.Now we pray to God that you will not do anything wrong— not so that people will see that we have stood the test but so that you will do what is right even though we may seem to have failed. The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, (niv)

my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.“ Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children. (niv)

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. (niv)

Why should fools have money in hand to buy wisdom, when they are not able to understand it? (niv)

“ My people are fools; they do not know me. They are senseless children; they have no understanding. They are skilled in doing evil; they know not how to do good.” (niv)

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. (niv)

Therefore, although in Christ I could be bold and order you to do what you ought to do, (niv)

Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. (niv)

Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. (niv)

When they heard about the resurrection of the dead, some of them sneered, but others said,“ We want to hear you again on this subject.” (niv)

But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water. (niv)

For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: to an unknown god. So you are ignorant of the very thing you worship— and this is what I am going to proclaim to you. (niv)
