而要有蘊藏在人內心不衰退的美，以溫柔嫻靜的心妝飾自己；這在神面前是極寶貴的。

因為蒙悅納的，不是自我稱許的，而是主所稱許的。

所以，時候未到，在主來以前甚麼都不要評斷，他要照出暗中的隱情，揭發人的動機。那時，各人要從神那裏得着稱讚。

但如今，我們既然在捆綁我們的律法上死了，就從律法中解脫，使我們服侍主，要按着聖靈的新樣，不按着儀文的舊樣。

我的神啊，我知道你察驗人心，喜悅正直；我以正直的心樂意獻上這一切。現在我歡喜見你的百姓在此樂意奉獻給你。

而且那本來未受割禮的，若能全守律法，豈不是要審判你這有儀文和割禮，竟違犯律法的人嗎？

你們互相受榮耀，卻不尋求從獨一神來的榮耀，怎能信我呢？

這是因他們愛人給的尊榮過於愛神給的尊榮。

因為神的國不在乎飲食，而在乎公義、和平及聖靈中的喜樂。

他使我們能配作新約的執事，不是文字上的約，而是聖靈的約；因為文字使人死，聖靈能使人活。

主對他說：「如今你們法利賽人洗淨杯盤的外面，你們裏面卻滿了貪婪和邪惡。

「你們這假冒為善的文士和法利賽人有禍了！因為你們洗淨杯盤的外面，裏面卻滿了貪婪和放蕩。你這瞎眼的法利賽人，先洗淨杯子的裏面，好使外面也乾淨了。「你們這假冒為善的文士和法利賽人有禍了！因為你們好像粉飾了的墳墓，外面好看，裏面卻滿了死人的骨頭和一切的污穢。你們也是如此，外面對人顯出公義，裏面卻滿了虛偽和不法的事。

耶路撒冷啊，你當洗去心中的惡，使你可以得救。惡念在你裏面要存到幾時呢？

耶穌回答：「我實實在在地告訴你，人若不是從水和聖靈生的，就不能進神的國。從肉身生的就是肉身；從靈生的就是靈。我說『你們必須重生』，你不要驚訝。風隨着意思吹，你聽見風的聲音，卻不知道是從哪裏來，往哪裏去；凡從聖靈生的也是如此。」

人也不能說：『看哪，在這裏！』或說：『在那裏！』因為神的國就在你們心裏。」

耶和華卻對撒母耳說：「不要只看他的外貌和他身材高大，我不揀選他。因為耶和華不像人看人，人是看外貌，耶和華是看內心。」

時候將到，現在就是了，那真正敬拜父的，要用心靈和誠實敬拜他，因為父要這樣的人敬拜他。
