He did not waver in unbelief at God’s promise but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,

他也没有因着不信去怀疑神的应许，反而因着信得以刚强，把荣耀归给神，

並且仰望神的應許，總沒有因不信心裏起疑惑，反倒因信心裏得堅固，將榮耀歸給神，

仍仰望上帝的應許，總沒有因不信而起疑惑，反倒因信而剛強，將榮耀歸給上帝，

仍仰望神的應許，總沒有因不信而起疑惑，反倒因信而剛強，將榮耀歸給神，

他沒有因不信而懷疑上帝的應許，反倒信心更加堅定，將榮耀歸給上帝。

也沒有因著不信而疑惑神的應許，反倒堅信不移，把榮耀歸給神，

也沒有以不信之心去疑惑上帝的應許，反而在信心上得了能力而堅固，而將榮耀歸與上帝，

他也沒有因著不信去懷疑神的應許，反而因著信得以剛強，把榮耀歸給神，

且於上帝所許、不以不信而貳其心、惟信彌篤、歸榮上帝、

絕不疑上帝所應許、稍懷不信心、惟信彌篤、歸榮上帝、

不懷不信之心、疑天主所許者、其信益堅、歸榮天主、

一心惟主之恩諾是恃、毫無狐疑之意、

Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,

But Abraham kept believing in God’s promise. He became strong in his faith. He gave glory to God.

No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God,

Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God.

yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God,

He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God,

yet, looking unto the promise of God, he wavered not through unbelief, but waxed strong through faith, giving glory to God,

He did not waver in unbelief at God’s promise but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

He did not waver in unbelief about the promise of God but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God.

Yet, looking to the promise of God, he didn’t waver through unbelief, but grew strong through faith, giving glory to God,

So I take pleasure in weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and in difficulties, for the sake of Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

As you have been a curse among the nations, house of Judah and house of Israel, so I will save you, and you will be a blessing. Don’t be afraid; let your hands be strong.”

Where can I get meat to give all these people? For they are weeping to me,‘ Give us meat to eat!’I can’t carry all these people by myself. They are too much for me.If you are going to treat me like this, please kill me right now if I have found favor with you, and don’t let me see my misery anymore.”The LORD answered Moses,“ Bring me seventy men from Israel known to you as elders and officers of the people. Take them to the tent of meeting and have them stand there with you.Then I will come down and speak with you there. I will take some of the Spirit who is on you and put the Spirit on them. They will help you bear the burden of the people, so that you do not have to bear it by yourself.“ Tell the people: Consecrate yourselves in readiness for tomorrow, and you will eat meat because you wept in the LORD’s hearing,‘ Who will feed us meat? We were better off in Egypt.’ The LORD will give you meat and you will eat.You will eat, not for one day, or two days, or five days, or ten days, or twenty days,but for a whole month— until it comes out of your nostrils and becomes nauseating to you— because you have rejected the LORD who is among you, and wept before him,‘ Why did we ever leave Egypt?’”But Moses replied,“ I’m in the middle of a people with six hundred thousand foot soldiers, yet you say,‘ I will give them meat, and they will eat for a month.’If flocks and herds were slaughtered for them, would they have enough? Or if all the fish in the sea were caught for them, would they have enough?”The LORD answered Moses,“ Is the LORD’s arm weak? Now you will see whether or not what I have promised will happen to you.”

Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill what he has spoken to her!”

He said,“ Don’t be afraid, you who are treasured by God. Peace to you; be very strong!” As he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said,“ Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.”

“ After I had given the purchase agreement to Baruch, son of Neriah, I prayed to the LORD:Oh, Lord GOD! You yourself made the heavens and earth by your great power and with your outstretched arm. Nothing is too difficult for you!You show faithful love to thousands but lay the fathers’ iniquity on their sons’ laps after them, great and mighty God whose name is the LORD of Armies,the one great in counsel and powerful in action. Your eyes are on all the ways of the children of men in order to reward each person according to his ways and as the result of his actions.You performed signs and wonders in the land of Egypt and still do today, both in Israel and among all mankind. You made a name for yourself, as is the case today.You brought your people Israel out of Egypt with signs and wonders, with a strong hand and an outstretched arm, and with great terror.You gave them this land you swore to give to their ancestors, a land flowing with milk and honey.They entered and possessed it, but they did not obey you or live according to your instructions. They failed to perform all you commanded them to do, and so you have brought all this disaster on them.Look! Siege ramps have come against the city to capture it, and the city, as a result of the sword, famine, and plague, has been handed over to the Chaldeans who are fighting against it. What you have spoken has happened. Look, you can see it!Yet you, Lord GOD, have said to me,‘ Purchase the field and call in witnesses’— even though the city has been handed over to the Chaldeans!”The word of the LORD came to Jeremiah:“ Look, I am the LORD, the God over every creature. Is anything too difficult for me?

the chief city of Ephraim is Samaria, and the chief of Samaria is the son of Remaliah. If you do not stand firm in your faith, then you will not stand at all.

Say to the cowardly:“ Be strong; do not fear! Here is your God; vengeance is coming. God’s retribution is coming; he will save you.”

this captain had answered the man of God,“ Look, even if the LORD were to make windows in heaven, could this really happen?” Elisha had said,“ You will in fact see it with your own eyes, but you won’t eat any of it.”

You, therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

The LORD of Armies says this:“ Let your hands be strong, you who now hear these words that the prophets spoke when the foundations were laid for the rebuilding of the temple, the house of the LORD of Armies.

and he said,“ Listen carefully, all Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and King Jehoshaphat. This is what the LORD says:‘ Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast number, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.Tomorrow, go down against them. You will see them coming up the Ascent of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the valley facing the Wilderness of Jeruel.You do not have to fight this battle. Position yourselves, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD. He is with you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or discouraged. Tomorrow, go out to face them, for the LORD is with you.’”Then Jehoshaphat knelt low with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell down before the LORD to worship him.Then the Levites from the sons of the Kohathites and the Korahites stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel shouting loudly.In the morning they got up early and went out to the wilderness of Tekoa. As they were about to go out, Jehoshaphat stood and said,“ Hear me, Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem. Believe in the LORD your God, and you will be established; believe in his prophets, and you will succeed.”

“ How can I know this?” Zechariah asked the angel.“ For I am an old man, and my wife is well along in years.”

Then the captain, the king’s right-hand man, responded to the man of God,“ Look, even if the LORD were to make windows in heaven, could this really happen?” Elisha announced,“ You will in fact see it with your own eyes, but you won’t eat any of it.”

Even so, be strong, Zerubbabel— this is the LORD’s declaration. Be strong, Joshua son of Jehozadak, high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land— this is the LORD’s declaration. Work! For I am with you— the declaration of the LORD of Armies.

When the crowds saw this, they were awestruck and gave glory to God, who had given such authority to men.

Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by his vast strength.

Be alert, stand firm in the faith, be courageous, be strong.

With flattery he will corrupt those who act wickedly toward the covenant, but the people who know their God will be strong and take action.
