Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,

並且仰望神的應許，總沒有因不信心裏起疑惑，反倒因信心裏得堅固，將榮耀歸給神，

仍仰望上帝的應許，總沒有因不信而起疑惑，反倒因信而剛強，將榮耀歸給上帝，

仍仰望神的應許，總沒有因不信而起疑惑，反倒因信而剛強，將榮耀歸給神，

他沒有因不信而懷疑上帝的應許，反倒信心更加堅定，將榮耀歸給上帝。

也沒有因著不信而疑惑神的應許，反倒堅信不移，把榮耀歸給神，

也沒有以不信之心去疑惑上帝的應許，反而在信心上得了能力而堅固，而將榮耀歸與上帝，

他也沒有因著不信去懷疑神的應許，反而因著信得以剛強，把榮耀歸給神，

且於上帝所許、不以不信而貳其心、惟信彌篤、歸榮上帝、

絕不疑上帝所應許、稍懷不信心、惟信彌篤、歸榮上帝、

不懷不信之心、疑天主所許者、其信益堅、歸榮天主、

一心惟主之恩諾是恃、毫無狐疑之意、

But Abraham kept believing in God’s promise. He became strong in his faith. He gave glory to God.

No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God,

Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God.

He did not waver in unbelief at God’s promise but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,

yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God,

He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God,

yet, looking unto the promise of God, he wavered not through unbelief, but waxed strong through faith, giving glory to God,

He did not waver in unbelief at God’s promise but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

He did not waver in unbelief about the promise of God but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God.

Yet, looking to the promise of God, he didn’t waver through unbelief, but grew strong through faith, giving glory to God,

That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Just as you, Judah and Israel, have been a curse among the nations, so I will save you, and you will be a blessing. Do not be afraid, but let your hands be strong.”

Where can I get meat for all these people? They keep wailing to me,‘ Give us meat to eat!’I cannot carry all these people by myself; the burden is too heavy for me.If this is how you are going to treat me, please go ahead and kill me— if I have found favor in your eyes— and do not let me face my own ruin.”The Lord said to Moses:“ Bring me seventy of Israel’s elders who are known to you as leaders and officials among the people. Have them come to the tent of meeting, that they may stand there with you.I will come down and speak with you there, and I will take some of the power of the Spirit that is on you and put it on them. They will share the burden of the people with you so that you will not have to carry it alone.“ Tell the people:‘ Consecrate yourselves in preparation for tomorrow, when you will eat meat. The Lord heard you when you wailed,“ If only we had meat to eat! We were better off in Egypt!” Now the Lord will give you meat, and you will eat it.You will not eat it for just one day, or two days, or five, ten or twenty days,but for a whole month— until it comes out of your nostrils and you loathe it— because you have rejected the Lord, who is among you, and have wailed before him, saying,“ Why did we ever leave Egypt?”’”But Moses said,“ Here I am among six hundred thousand men on foot, and you say,‘ I will give them meat to eat for a whole month!’Would they have enough if flocks and herds were slaughtered for them? Would they have enough if all the fish in the sea were caught for them?”The Lord answered Moses,“ Is the Lord’s arm too short? Now you will see whether or not what I say will come true for you.”

Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!”

“ Do not be afraid, you who are highly esteemed,” he said.“ Peace! Be strong now; be strong.” When he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said,“ Speak, my lord, since you have given me strength.”

“ After I had given the deed of purchase to Baruch son of Neriah, I prayed to the Lord:“ Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.You show love to thousands but bring the punishment for the parents’ sins into the laps of their children after them. Great and mighty God, whose name is the Lord Almighty,great are your purposes and mighty are your deeds. Your eyes are open to the ways of all mankind; you reward each person according to their conduct and as their deeds deserve.You performed signs and wonders in Egypt and have continued them to this day, in Israel and among all mankind, and have gained the renown that is still yours.You brought your people Israel out of Egypt with signs and wonders, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm and with great terror.You gave them this land you had sworn to give their ancestors, a land flowing with milk and honey.They came in and took possession of it, but they did not obey you or follow your law; they did not do what you commanded them to do. So you brought all this disaster on them.“ See how the siege ramps are built up to take the city. Because of the sword, famine and plague, the city will be given into the hands of the Babylonians who are attacking it. What you said has happened, as you now see.And though the city will be given into the hands of the Babylonians, you, Sovereign Lord, say to me,‘ Buy the field with silver and have the transaction witnessed.’”Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah:“ I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?

The head of Ephraim is Samaria, and the head of Samaria is only Remaliah’s son. If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.’”

say to those with fearful hearts,“ Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.”

The officer had said to the man of God,“ Look, even if the Lord should open the floodgates of the heavens, could this happen?” The man of God had replied,“ You will see it with your own eyes, but you will not eat any of it!”

You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

This is what the Lord Almighty says:“ Now hear these words,‘ Let your hands be strong so that the temple may be built.’ This is also what the prophets said who were present when the foundation was laid for the house of the Lord Almighty.

He said:“ Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you:‘ Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.Tomorrow march down against them. They will be climbing up by the Pass of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the gorge in the Desert of Jeruel.You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.’”Jehoshaphat bowed down with his face to the ground, and all the people of Judah and Jerusalem fell down in worship before the Lord.Then some Levites from the Kohathites and Korahites stood up and praised the Lord, the God of Israel, with a very loud voice.Early in the morning they left for the Desert of Tekoa. As they set out, Jehoshaphat stood and said,“ Listen to me, Judah and people of Jerusalem! Have faith in the Lord your God and you will be upheld; have faith in his prophets and you will be successful.”

Zechariah asked the angel,“ How can I be sure of this? I am an old man and my wife is well along in years.”

The officer on whose arm the king was leaning said to the man of God,“ Look, even if the Lord should open the floodgates of the heavens, could this happen?”“ You will see it with your own eyes,” answered Elisha,“ but you will not eat any of it!”

But now be strong, Zerubbabel,’ declares the Lord.‘ Be strong, Joshua son of Jozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land,’ declares the Lord,‘ and work. For I am with you,’ declares the Lord Almighty.

When the crowd saw this, they were filled with awe; and they praised God, who had given such authority to man.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.

With flattery he will corrupt those who have violated the covenant, but the people who know their God will firmly resist him.
