我們知道，我們的舊人已經與基督同釘十字架，使罪身喪失機能，使我們不再作罪的奴僕，

因为知道我们的旧人和他同钉十字架，使罪身灭绝，叫我们不再作罪的奴仆；

蓋知我儕舊日之我、舊日之我原文作本體之舊人與之同釘十字架、以滅罪身、使我儕不復為罪所役、

應知吾人之故我、已與之同釘於十字架上；於是罪孽之身、已蕩然毀滅、而吾人不復為罪孽之奴矣。

For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin—

We know that what we used to be was nailed to the cross with him. That happened so our bodies that were ruled by sin would lose their power. So we are no longer slaves of sin.

我已經與基督同釘十字架；現在活著的，不再是我，而是基督活在我裡面；如今在肉身中活著的我，是因信神的兒子而活的；他愛我，為我捨己。

至於我，我絕不以別的誇口，只誇我們主耶穌基督的十字架。藉著這十字架，在我來說，世界已經釘在十字架上了；就世界來說，我也已經釘在十字架上了。

屬基督耶穌的人，是已經把肉體和邪情私慾都釘在十字架上了。

就要除去你們那照著從前生活方式而活的舊人。這舊人是隨著迷惑人的私慾漸漸敗壞的。

耶穌說：“我實實在在告訴你們，凡犯罪的都是罪的奴隸。奴隸不能永遠住在家裡，唯有兒子才可以永遠住在家裡。所以，神的兒子若使你們自由，你們就真的得自由了。

所以要治死你們在地上的肢體，就如淫亂、污穢、邪情、惡慾和貪心，貪心就是拜偶像。

不要彼此說謊，因為你們已經脫去了舊人和舊人的行為，穿上了新人。這新人照著他的創造者的形象漸漸更新，能夠充分認識主。

如果隨著肉體而活，你們必定死；如果靠著聖靈治死身體的惡行，你們就必活著。

現在你們既然從罪裡得了釋放，作了神的奴僕，就有成聖的果子，那結局就是永生。

我這個人真是苦啊！誰能救我脫離這使我死亡的身體呢？感謝神，藉著我們的主耶穌基督就能脫離了。可見，一方面我自己心裡服事神的律，另一方面我的肉體卻服事罪的律。

你們也在他裡面受了不是由人手所行的割禮，而是受了基督的割禮，就是除掉你們的罪身。你們在洗禮中已經與他一同埋葬，也在洗禮中，因信那使基督從死人中復活的神所運行的動力，與他一同復活了。

律法是因肉體而軟弱無力，所作不到的，神作到了：他差遣自己的兒子成為罪身的樣式，為了除掉罪，就在肉體中把罪判決了，使律法所要求的義，可以在我們這些不隨從肉體而隨從聖靈去行的人身上實現出來。

耶和華我們的神啊！在你以外，曾有別的主管轄我們，但只有你，我們要承認你的名。

所以，不要容罪在你們必死的肉身上掌權，使你們順從肉身的私慾，

乃縵說：“你若是不肯收取，就請你賜你僕人兩頭驢子可以馱的泥土，因為你的僕人不再獻燔祭或別的祭給別的神，只獻給耶和華。
