當我從欲時、情轉因律法而為惡、動乎四體、厥果惟死、

蓋我儕屬肉體之時、罪慾由律法而生者、動於我肢體、使我儕結果以致死、

當吾人尚在肉身之權下、吾人之四肢百體、在在受罪惡之牽引。此罪惡者、生於情慾、滋於律法、終則致死亡之果者也。

For when we were in the realm of the flesh, the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in us, so that we bore fruit for death.

The power of sin used to control us. The law stirred up sinful desires in us. So the things we did resulted in death.

For while we were living in the flesh, our sinful passions, aroused by the law, were at work in our members to bear fruit for death.

When we were controlled by our old nature, sinful desires were at work within us, and the law aroused these evil desires that produced a harvest of sinful deeds, resulting in death.

For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions aroused through the law were working in us to bear fruit for death.

For while we were in the flesh, the sinful passions, which were brought to light by the Law, were at work in the parts of our body to bear fruit for death.

For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death.

For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions, which were through the law, wrought in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions operated through the law in every part of us and bore fruit for death.

For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. (niv)

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. (niv)

So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. (niv)

Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. (niv)

What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! (niv)

For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written:“ Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.” (niv)

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. (niv)

Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. (niv)

What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? (niv)

The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, (niv)

Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. (niv)

because the law brings wrath. And where there is no law there is no transgression. (niv)

Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. (niv)

Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. (niv)

but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. (niv)

Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin. (niv)

He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant— not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, transitory though it was,will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious?If the ministry that brought condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness! For out of the heart come evil thoughts— murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. (niv)

Therefore, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called“ uncircumcised” by those who call themselves“ the circumcision”( which is done in the body by human hands)— (niv)

Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. (niv)

What shall we say, then? Is the law sinful? Certainly not! Nevertheless, I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said,“ You shall not covet.”But sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, produced in me every kind of coveting. For apart from the law, sin was dead.Once I was alive apart from the law; but when the commandment came, sin sprang to life and I died.I found that the very commandment that was intended to bring life actually brought death.For sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, deceived me, and through the commandment put me to death.So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous and good.Did that which is good, then, become death to me? By no means! Nevertheless, in order that sin might be recognized as sin, it used what is good to bring about my death, so that through the commandment sin might become utterly sinful. (niv)

Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. (niv)

At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. (niv)

I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever- increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness. (niv)

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (niv)

The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery;idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factionsand envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. (niv)

But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers.For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. (niv)
