今則吾人既死於曩時所受之束縛乃得灑然脫於律法之權下；是宜以自由自在之精神、昭事天主、不當再拘泥於文字之陳跡矣。

But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.

But now we have died to what used to control us. We have been set free from the law. Now we serve in the new way of the Holy Spirit. We no longer serve in the old way of the written law.

But now we are released from the law, having died to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code.

But now we have been released from the law, for we died to it and are no longer captive to its power. Now we can serve God, not in the old way of obeying the letter of the law, but in the new way of living in the Spirit.

使我克供新約之役、非恃文、乃恃靈、蓋文致死、靈致生也、

蓋我由律已死於律、致得生於上帝、我已與基督同釘十架、而我尚生、非我也、基督生於我中也、今我生於形軀者、乃因信上帝子而生、即愛我而為我捐己者也、

屆期、上帝遣其子、由女而生、在於律下、以贖律下之人、使我儕得為子之分、

蓋罪必不主爾、以爾非在律下、乃在恩下也、○然則若何、我儕既在恩下、不在律下、可干罪乎、曰不可、

而衣新人、日新以致知、依造之者之像、

基督已贖我儕脫律之詛、以其為我儕服詛、記有之、凡懸於木者見詛也、

今爾得釋於罪、為上帝僕、其效成聖、終則永生、

如是、爾曹於基督耶穌中、宜自視為罪而死、為上帝而生也、○

其素無割而守律者、不罪爾以文與割而干律者乎、蓋顯為猶太人者、非猶太人、顯於身之割、非割也、惟隱為猶太人者、誠猶太人、受於心之割、乃割也、在性靈不在儀文、其稱譽也、非由人、乃由上帝、

兄弟乎、我與諳律者言、豈不知律之束人乃畢生乎、

是以在基督中者、乃為新造之人、舊事已逝、諸事更新矣、

蓋上帝、即我於其子之福音、以心神所崇事者、證我常言及爾、

勿同世態、惟以心之更新而變化、致驗上帝旨、乃善而可悅、且純全者也、○

曰、非也、我儕於罪既死、詎尚於罪中生乎、

我將賜以同一之心、賦新神於其衷、自其體內、去其石心、賜以肉心、

以新心賜爾、以新神賦於爾衷、去爾石心、錫以肉心、

因爾形軀之弱、我則以常人所言言之、爾曹曾獻肢體為不潔不法之僕、以至無度、今宜獻肢體為義之僕、以至成聖、

蓋受割與否皆無足重、惟新造者而已、

蓋我儕以上帝之神而崇拜、於基督耶穌而誇、不恃乎形軀、是乃受割者也、
