But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

We hope for what we don’t have yet. So we are patient as we wait for it.

But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.

But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently.)

Now if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with patience.

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.

Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.

I have waited for your salvation, O Lord!

Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret— it only causes harm.For evildoers shall be cut off; But those who wait on the Lord, They shall inherit the earth.

My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him.He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved.

that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality;

knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain.You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door!My brethren, take the prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering and patience.Indeed we count them blessed who endure. Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.

And it will be said in that day:“ Behold, this is our God; We have waited for Him, and He will save us. This is the Lord; We have waited for Him; We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.”

But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.

He who leads into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
