第七天亞哈隨魯王因酒而心裏高興，就吩咐伺候他面前的七個太監、米戶幔、比斯他、哈波拿、比革他、亞拔他、西達、甲迦，

我，我於是稱讚喜樂；因為人在日光之下莫如喫喝喜樂；儘上帝在日光之下所賜給他的一生年日、這必在他的勞碌中時刻伴着他。

有酒使人的心歡喜，使他臉面油潤、煥發光輝，又有食物給人做點心。

人莫如喫喝，且在勞碌中讓自已經驗經驗享樂；我看這也是出於上帝的手。

喂，你只管歡歡喜喜去喫你的飯吧；心裏高興去喝你的酒吧；因為上帝已經喜悅了你的工作。

擺設筵席、是為喜笑；酒能使「人生」快樂；銀錢能應各事的需要。

他們心裏正暢快的時候，忽有城裏的人一些無賴子、把房子圍住，連連敲門，對房主老人說：『把進你家那個人帶出來，我們要和他交合。』

他們心裏正高興的時候，就說：『叫參孫來，在我們面前耍耍把戲。』於是把參孫從監獄裏提出來；參孫就在眾人面前耍把戲。他們又叫他站在兩根柱子中間。

我知道世人莫如時常歡喜、一生享樂；並且人人喫喝，在他一切的勞碌中經驗經驗享樂，這也是上帝的恩賜。

約瑟拿起食物來，從他面前分給他們，但是給便雅憫的食物、則比他們任何人的食物多五倍。他們就喝酒，和約瑟一同暢飲宴樂。

王后耶洗別對亞哈說：『你現在是掌王權管理以色列的不是？只管起來喫飯，讓心裏暢暢快快；我，我一定將耶斯列人拿伯的葡萄園給你。』

別醉酒了（醉中有放蕩），卻要充充滿滿地滿有聖靈。

所以你們或喫或喝，或作甚麼事，都要為上帝的榮耀而作。
