其子將慰爾心、養爾老、蓋為愛爾之媳所生、有如斯之媳、較有七子更美、

He will renew your life and sustain you in your old age. For your daughter-in-law, who loves you and who is better to you than seven sons, has given him birth.”

He will make your life new again. He’ll take care of you when you are old. He’s the son of your very own daughter- in- law. She loves you. She is better to you than seven sons.”

He shall be to you a restorer of life and a nourisher of your old age, for your daughter-in-law who loves you, who is more to you than seven sons, has given birth to him.”

May he restore your youth and care for you in your old age. For he is the son of your daughter in law who loves you and has been better to you than seven sons!”

波士曰、自夫沒後、爾善待姑、離父母故土、至所未識之國、一切之事、有人告我。爾至此、為以色列族之上帝耶和華所覆翼、願耶和華報施爾、大賚爾。

以利迦拿謂之曰、哈拿何為哭而不食、中心愀然哉。我之與爾非愈於十子乎。

饑饉尚有五年、我供養爾、庶免眷聚、與凡所有者匱乏。

凡爾義人、以百事付諸耶和華、蒙彼眷佑、必不傾危兮、

約瑟供養父兄眷聚、視其應需而給之。○

路得曰、勿使我離爾、不與爾偕、汝所往我亦往、汝所居我亦居、汝民亦為我民、汝上帝亦為我上帝、汝所沒之處、我亦死於彼、葬於彼、我惟至死則可相離、我不若是、願耶和華降罰。拿阿米見路得已堅厥志、欲與之偕、則止而不勸。

泛交眾人、必致損害、得一知己、愈於兄弟。
