『永恆主必像先前賜勝利給猶大的帳棚，使大衛家的光榮跟耶路撒冷居民的光榮不至於勝過猶大其餘城市的光榮。

耶和華必首先拯救猶大的帳篷，為要使大衛家的榮耀和耶路撒冷居民的榮耀不超過猶大。

“ The Lord will save the dwellings of Judah first, so that the honor of the house of David and of Jerusalem’s inhabitants may not be greater than that of Judah.

“ I will save the houses in Judah first. The honor of David’s family line is great. So is the honor of those who live in Jerusalem. But their honor will not be greater than the honor of the rest of Judah.

“ And the Lord will give salvation to the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem may not surpass that of Judah.

“ The Lord will give victory to the rest of Judah first, before Jerusalem, so that the people of Jerusalem and the royal line of David will not have greater honor than the rest of Judah.

The LORD will save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of David’s house and the glory of Jerusalem’s residents may not be greater than that of Judah.

The Lord also will save the tents of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem will not be greater than Judah.

耶和華說：「看啊，我要使雅各的子孫復興，我要憐憫他們，使他們在廢墟上重建家園，重修宮殿。

到那日，狂妄的人將被挫敗，驕傲的人將遭貶抑；唯獨耶和華將受尊崇。因為萬軍之耶和華已定了日子，要懲罰一切驕傲狂妄和自高自大的人，使他們淪為卑賤；祂必毀滅黎巴嫩高大的香柏樹和巴珊的橡樹，毀滅一切崇山峻嶺，毀滅高聳的城樓和堅固的城牆，毀滅他施的商船和一切華美的船隻。到那日，狂妄的人必被挫敗，驕傲的人必遭貶抑，唯獨耶和華受尊崇。

「到那日，我要重建已傾覆的大衛王朝，修補它城牆的缺口。我要從廢墟中重建它，恢復它往日的榮耀。

我曾求告你，別讓他們幸災樂禍，在我失腳時沾沾自喜。

你們若真要妄自尊大，利用我的恥辱來指責我，

既然如此，我們哪裡能誇口呢？當然沒有可誇的。靠什麼方法讓人不能誇口呢？靠遵守律法嗎？不是！是靠信主的方法。

那時，耶穌說：「父啊，天地的主，我頌讚你，因為你把這些事向聰明、有學問的人隱藏起來，卻啟示給像孩童一般的人。父啊，是的，這正是你的美意。

約就在當天廢除了，那些注視著我的困苦羊便知道這是上帝的話。

願幸災樂禍的人蒙羞受辱，自高自大的人無地自容！

但上帝賜給我們更大的恩典，所以聖經上說：「上帝阻擋驕傲的人，恩待謙卑的人。」

我們不過是瓦器，裡面卻有這寶貝，要顯明這莫大的能力是上帝的，而不是我們自己的。我們壓力重重，卻沒有崩潰；心裡困惑，卻不絕望；遭受迫害，卻沒有被遺棄；被打倒了，卻沒有死亡。我們身上常常帶著耶穌的死，好使耶穌的生命也彰顯在我們身上。因為我們這些活著的人常常為耶穌的緣故而面臨死亡的威脅，好使耶穌的生命在我們這終有一死的肉身上彰顯出來。因此，死亡籠罩著我們，而生命卻運行在你們身上。

法利賽人說：「難道你們也被祂迷惑了嗎？哪有官長和法利賽人信祂呢？這群不明白律法的民眾該受咒詛！」

弟兄姊妹，想想你們蒙召時的情形。按人的標準來衡量，你們當中稱得上有智慧的不多，有能力的不多，出身名門望族的也不多。但上帝揀選了世人看為愚昧的，要使智者羞愧；上帝揀選了世上軟弱的，要使強者蒙羞；上帝揀選了世上卑賤的、被藐視的和無足輕重的，要使世人看為舉足輕重的變得無足輕重。這樣，誰都不能在上帝面前自誇了。上帝使你們活在基督耶穌裡，祂使基督耶穌成為我們的智慧、公義、聖潔和救贖。所以，正如聖經上說：「要誇耀，就當誇耀主的作為。」

是萬軍之耶和華定的，為要摧毀因榮耀而生的驕傲，羞辱世上的尊貴者。

倘若是仇敵辱罵我，我還能忍受；倘若是恨我的人欺凌我，我還可以躲開。

祂伸出臂膀，施展大能，驅散心驕氣傲的人。祂使當權者失勢，叫謙卑的人升高。祂使饑餓的得飽足，叫富足的空手而去。

耶和華說：「智者不要誇耀自己的智慧，勇士不要誇耀自己的力量，富人不要誇耀自己的財富。若有人誇耀，就讓他誇耀自己認識我是耶和華，知道我喜歡在地上憑慈愛、公平和正義行事。這是耶和華說的。」

我親愛的弟兄姊妹，請聽我說，上帝不是揀選了窮人，使他們在信心上富足，並承受祂應許賜給那些愛祂之人的國度嗎？

他對我說：「這是耶和華對所羅巴伯講的話。萬軍之耶和華說，『不靠權勢，不靠才能，乃靠我的靈。

就在這時候，耶穌受聖靈感動，充滿喜樂地說：「父啊，天地的主，我頌讚你！因為你把這些事向聰明、有學問的人隱藏起來，卻啟示給像孩童一般的人。父啊！是的，這正是你的美意。
