在那些日子里，孕妇和哺乳的女人有祸了！你们要祷告，好让你们逃难的时候不在冬天，也不在安息日。因为那时将有大患难。这样的患难从世界开始直到如今，从来没有发生过，也绝不再发生。如果那些日子不被减少，就没有一个人能得救。可是为了那些蒙拣选的人，那些日子将被减少。

“当你们看见‘那带来毁灭的亵渎者’站在不该站的地方时——读者应当思考——那时，在犹太的人应当逃到山里；

因为日子将临到你，你的敌人要筑起壁垒包围你，四面困住你。而且，他们要将你和你里面的儿女猛摔在地，不容你里面有一块石头留在另一块石头上，因为你没有认出神临到你的时候。”

“当你们看见藉着先知但以理所说的‘那带来毁灭的亵渎者’站在圣地的时候——读者应当思考——那时，在犹太的人应当逃到山里；

王就发怒，派军兵除灭那些凶手，烧毁了他们的城。

看哪！这都被记在我面前：我不再静默，一定报应；我必把他们的罪孽、他们祖先的罪孽一同报应在他们怀中。因为他们在山上烧香，在冈陵上辱骂我，所以我必称量他们先前的行为，报应在他们怀中。”耶和华如此说：“当新酒在累累葡萄中被发现时，人怎样说：‘不要毁灭它，因为有祝福在其中’，我也要怎样做——为我仆人们的缘故，不把一切都毁灭。我必使后裔从雅各而出，使我众山的继承人从犹大而来；我的选民必拥有那地，我的仆人们必居住在那里。

然后会有第四个国，它必强硬如铁。铁怎样砸碎、击破一切，怎样压碎一切，这国也照样砸碎、压碎一切。正如你看到那像的脚和脚趾有部分是陶匠的泥，有部分是铁，这国也必是一个分裂的国；但这国里面会有铁的坚硬，就像你看到有铁与湿泥混合那样。脚趾怎样有部分是铁，有部分是泥，这国也怎样有部分强硬，有部分脆弱。正如你看到有铁与湿泥混合，他们也必与各人种混合；但他们彼此却不会粘合，就像铁不与泥混合那样。

他要向远方的国家竖起旗帜，发出哨声召来地极的人；看哪，他们必飞快迅速而来！

“耶路撒冷啊，耶路撒冷！这城杀害先知们，又用石头砸死被差到她这里的人！我多次想聚集你的儿女，像母鸡把自己的小鸡聚集在翅膀下，可是你们不愿意！看哪，你们的家要被废弃成为荒场。

但那在上面的耶路撒冷是自由女人；她是我们的母亲。因为经上记着：“不能生育、没有生产的女子啊，你要欢喜！没有经历临产阵痛的女子啊，你要放声呼喊！因为没有丈夫的女子，比有丈夫的女子有更多的儿女。”

你们要因我所创造的而欢喜快乐，直到永远。看哪！我要创造耶路撒冷作为欢乐之源，创造她的民作为喜乐之泉。

就在那些日子里，凯撒奥古斯都颁布谕令，要普天下的人都登记户口。

因为在那些日子里将有患难。这样的患难从神创世之初直到如今，从来没有发生过，也绝不再发生。
