And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all[ things]: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay.And[ as] the toes of the feet[ were] part of iron, and part of clay,[ so] the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

Therefore thus saith the LORD; Thy wife shall be an harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be divided by line; and thou shalt die in a polluted land: and Israel shall surely go into captivity forth of his land.

They ravished the women in Zion,[ and] the maids in the cities of Judah.Princes are hanged up by their hand: the faces of elders were not honoured.

And he will lift up an ensign to the nations from far, and will hiss unto them from the end of the earth: and, behold, they shall come with speed swiftly:

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem,[ thou] that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under[ her] wings, and ye would not!Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

The adversary hath spread out his hand upon all her pleasant things: for she hath seen[ that] the heathen entered into her sanctuary, whom thou didst command[ that] they should not enter into thy congregation.

But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.For it is written, Rejoice,[ thou] barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.

And it shall come to pass,[ that] in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off[ and] die; but the third shall be left therein.And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It[ is] my people: and they shall say, The LORD[ is] my God.

But be ye glad and rejoice for ever[ in that] which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.

The word which came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and all his army, and all the kingdoms of the earth of his dominion, and all the people, fought against Jerusalem, and against all the cities thereof, saying,

And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.

For[ in] those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.
