Then he showed me the high priest Joshua standing before the angel of the LORD, with Satan standing at his right side to accuse him.

Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right side to accuse him.

Then the Lord showed me Joshua the high priest. He was standing in front of the angel of the Lord. Satan was standing to the right of Joshua. He was there to bring charges against the high priest.

Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him.

Then the angel showed me Jeshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord. The Accuser, Satan, was there at the angel’s right hand, making accusations against Jeshua.

Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right to accuse him.

Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him.

And he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of Jehovah, and Satan standing at his right hand to be his adversary.

Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the Lord, with Satan standing at his right side to accuse him.

And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.

Next I saw Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, with Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him.

He showed me Joshua the high priest standing before Yahweh’s angel, and Satan standing at his right hand to be his adversary.

Take silver and gold, make a crown, and place it on the head of Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest.

Set a wicked person over him; let an accuser stand at his right hand.

So the great dragon was thrown out— the ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the one who deceives the whole world. He was thrown to earth, and his angels with him.Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say, The salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have now come, because the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been thrown down.

In the second year of King Darius, on the first day of the sixth month, the word of the LORD came through the prophet Haggai to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, the governor of Judah, and to Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest:

Be sober-minded, be alert. Your adversary the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for anyone he can devour.

Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Jeshua son of Jozadak began to rebuild God’s house in Jerusalem. The prophets of God were with them, helping them.

Therefore, this is what the LORD says: If you return, I will take you back; you will stand in my presence. And if you speak noble words, rather than worthless ones, you will be my spokesman. It is they who must return to you; you must not return to them.

One day the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came with them.The LORD asked Satan,“ Where have you come from?”“ From roaming through the earth,” Satan answered him,“ and walking around on it.”Then the LORD said to Satan,“ Have you considered my servant Job? No one else on earth is like him, a man of perfect integrity, who fears God and turns away from evil.”Satan answered the LORD,“ Does Job fear God for nothing?Haven’t you placed a hedge around him, his household, and everything he owns? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.But stretch out your hand and strike everything he owns, and he will surely curse you to your face.”“ Very well,” the LORD told Satan,“ everything he owns is in your power. However, do not lay a hand on Job himself.” So Satan left the LORD’s presence.

Jacob struggled with the angel and prevailed; he wept and sought his favor. He found him at Bethel, and there he spoke with him.The LORD is the God of Armies; the LORD is his name.

I asked,“ What are these, my lord?” The angel who was talking to me replied,“ I will show you what they are.”

Then the angel who was speaking with me went out, and another angel went out to meet him.

“ The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own brothers. You must listen to him.

“ Simon, Simon, look out. Satan has asked to sift you like wheat.

One day the sons of God came again to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came with them to present himself before the LORD.The LORD asked Satan,“ Where have you come from?”“ From roaming through the earth,” Satan answered him,“ and walking around on it.”Then the LORD said to Satan,“ Have you considered my servant Job? No one else on earth is like him, a man of perfect integrity, who fears God and turns away from evil. He still retains his integrity, even though you incited me against him, to destroy him for no good reason.”“ Skin for skin!” Satan answered the LORD.“ A man will give up everything he owns in exchange for his life.But stretch out your hand and strike his flesh and bones, and he will surely curse you to your face.”“ Very well,” the LORD told Satan,“ he is in your power; only spare his life.”So Satan left the LORD’s presence and infected Job with terrible boils from the soles of his feet to the top of his head.Then Job took a piece of broken pottery to scrape himself while he sat among the ashes.

“ Listen, High Priest Joshua, you and your colleagues sitting before you; indeed, these men are a sign that I am about to bring my servant, the Branch.

Even so, be strong, Zerubbabel— this is the LORD’s declaration. Be strong, Joshua son of Jehozadak, high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land— this is the LORD’s declaration. Work! For I am with you— the declaration of the LORD of Armies.

My sons, don’t be negligent now, for the LORD has chosen you to stand in his presence, to serve him, and to be his ministers and burners of incense.”

“ I am going to send an angel before you to protect you on the way and bring you to the place I have prepared.Be attentive to him and listen to him. Do not defy him, because he will not forgive your acts of rebellion, for my name is in him.

Then the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire within a bush. As Moses looked, he saw that the bush was on fire but was not consumed.So Moses thought,“ I must go over and look at this remarkable sight. Why isn’t the bush burning up?”When the LORD saw that he had gone over to look, God called out to him from the bush,“ Moses, Moses!”“ Here I am,” he answered.“ Do not come closer,” he said.“ Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”Then he continued,“ I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” Moses hid his face because he was afraid to look at God.

“ See, I am going to send my messenger, and he will clear the way before me. Then the Lord you seek will suddenly come to his temple, the Messenger of the covenant you delight in— see, he is coming,” says the LORD of Armies.

So he said he would have destroyed them— if Moses his chosen one had not stood before him in the breach to turn his wrath away from destroying them.

But be alert at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place and to stand before the Son of Man.”

the angel who has redeemed me from all harm— may he bless these boys. And may they be called by my name and the names of my fathers Abraham and Isaac, and may they grow to be numerous within the land.

After forty years had passed, an angel appeared to him in the wilderness of Mount Sinai, in the flame of a burning bush.When Moses saw it, he was amazed at the sight. As he was approaching to look at it, the voice of the Lord came:I am the God of your ancestors— the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob. Moses began to tremble and did not dare to look.“ The Lord said to him: Take off the sandals from your feet, because the place where you are standing is holy ground.I have certainly seen the oppression of my people in Egypt; I have heard their groaning and have come down to set them free. And now, come, I will send you to Egypt.“ This Moses, whom they rejected when they said, Who appointed you a ruler and a judge?— this one God sent as a ruler and a deliverer through the angel who appeared to him in the bush.This man led them out and performed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, at the Red Sea, and in the wilderness for forty years.“ This is the Moses who said to the Israelites: God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothers.He is the one who was in the assembly in the wilderness, with the angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our ancestors. He received living oracles to give to us.

“ But the Levitical priests descended from Zadok, who kept charge of my sanctuary when the Israelites went astray from me, will approach me to serve me. They will stand before me to offer me fat and blood.” This is the declaration of the Lord GOD.

The people of Beth-shemesh asked,“ Who is able to stand in the presence of the LORD this holy God? To whom should the ark go from here?”

Satan rose up against Israel and incited David to count the people of Israel.

So I asked the angel who was speaking with me,“ What are these?” And he said to me,“ These are the horns that scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.”

Yet they will occupy my sanctuary, serving as guards at the temple gates and ministering at the temple. They will slaughter the burnt offerings and other sacrifices for the people and will stand before them to serve them.

“ At that time the LORD set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of the LORD’s covenant, to stand before the LORD to serve him, and to pronounce blessings in his name, as it is today.

I will put hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will strike your head, and you will strike his heel.

The LORD replied with kind and comforting words to the angel who was speaking with me.

Then Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, the high priest Joshua son of Jehozadak, and the entire remnant of the people obeyed the LORD their God and the words of the prophet Haggai, because the LORD their God had sent him. So the people feared the LORD.
