Notice the stone I have set before Joshua; on that one stone are seven eyes. I will engrave an inscription on it”— this is the declaration of the LORD of Armies—“ and I will take away the iniquity of this land in a single day.

See, the stone I have set in front of Joshua! There are seven eyes on that one stone, and I will engrave an inscription on it,’ says the Lord Almighty,‘ and I will remove the sin of this land in a single day.

For behold, on the stone that I have set before Joshua, on a single stone with seven eyes, I will engrave its inscription, declares the Lord of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of this land in a single day.

Now look at the jewel I have set before Jeshua, a single stone with seven facets. I will engrave an inscription on it, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, and I will remove the sins of this land in a single day.

Therefore the Lord GOD said:“ Look, I have laid a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; the one who believes will be unshakable.

For who despises the day of small things? These seven eyes of the LORD, which scan throughout the whole earth, will rejoice when they see the ceremonial stone in Zerubbabel’s hand.”

As it is written, Look, I am putting a stone in Zion to stumble over and a rock to trip over, and the one who believes on him will not be put to shame.

Jesus said to them,“ Have you never read in the Scriptures: The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. This is what the Lord has done and it is wonderful in our eyes?Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruit.Whoever falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; but on whomever it falls, it will shatter him.”

In those days and at that time— this is the LORD’s declaration— one will search for Israel’s iniquity, but there will be none, and for Judah’s sins, but they will not be found, for I will forgive those I leave as a remnant.

The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.

He did not do this to offer himself many times, as the high priest enters the sanctuary yearly with the blood of another.Otherwise, he would have had to suffer many times since the foundation of the world. But now he has appeared one time, at the end of the ages, for the removal of sin by the sacrifice of himself.

Then I saw one like a slaughtered lamb standing in the midst of the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent into all the earth.

He has also put his seal on us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a down payment.

No longer will one teach his neighbor or his brother, saying,‘ Know the LORD,’ for they will all know me, from the least to the greatest of them”— this is the LORD’s declaration.“ For I will forgive their iniquity and never again remember their sin.

For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus,who gave himself as a ransom for all, a testimony at the proper time.

Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, bearing this inscription: The Lord knows those who are his, and let everyone who calls on the name of the Lord turn away from wickedness.

This Jesus is the stone rejected by you builders, which has become the cornerstone.

“ On that day a fountain will be opened for the house of David and for the residents of Jerusalem, to wash away sin and impurity.

By this will, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all time.Every priest stands day after day ministering and offering the same sacrifices time after time, which can never take away sins.But this man, after offering one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God.He is now waiting until his enemies are made his footstool.For by one offering he has perfected forever those who are sanctified.The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. For after he says:This is the covenant I will make with them after those days, the Lord says, I will put my laws on their hearts and write them on their minds,and I will never again remember their sins and their lawless acts.Now where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.

He will be a sanctuary; but for the two houses of Israel, he will be a stone to stumble over and a rock to trip over, and a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.Many will stumble over these; they will fall and be broken; they will be snared and captured.

He doesn’t need to offer sacrifices every day, as high priests do— first for their own sins, then for those of the people. He did this once for all time when he offered himself.

He did this so that he might reconcile both to God in one body through the cross by which he put the hostility to death.He came and proclaimed the good news of peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near.

You show that you are Christ’s letter, delivered by us, not written with ink but with the Spirit of the living God— not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

For the eyes of the LORD roam throughout the earth to show himself strong for those who are wholeheartedly devoted to him. You have been foolish in this matter. Therefore, you will have wars from now on.”

As you come to him, a living stone— rejected by people but chosen and honored by God—you yourselves, as living stones, a spiritual house, are being built to be a holy priesthood to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.For it stands in Scripture: See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and honored cornerstone, and the one who believes in him will never be put to shame.So honor will come to you who believe; but for the unbelieving, The stone that the builders rejected— this one has become the cornerstone,and A stone to stumble over, and a rock to trip over. They stumble because they disobey the word; they were destined for this.

Don’t work for the food that perishes but for the food that lasts for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set his seal of approval on him.”

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said,“ Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

The twelve stones are to correspond to the names of Israel’s sons. Each stone must be engraved like a seal, with one of the names of the twelve tribes.

and through him to reconcile everything to himself, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.Once you were alienated and hostile in your minds as expressed in your evil actions.

Seventy weeks are decreed about your people and your holy city— to bring the rebellion to an end, to put a stop to sin, to atone for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most holy place.Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until an Anointed One, the ruler, will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. It will be rebuilt with a plaza and a moat, but in difficult times.After those sixty-two weeks the Anointed One will be cut off and will have nothing. The people of the coming ruler will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come with a flood, and until the end there will be war; desolations are decreed.He will make a firm covenant with many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and offering. And the abomination of desolation will be on a wing of the temple until the decreed destruction is poured out on the desolator.”

So the angel of the LORD spoke to those standing before him,“ Take off his filthy clothes!” Then he said to him,“ See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with festive robes.”

“ You are to make a pure gold medallion and engrave it, like the engraving of a seal: HOLY TO THE LORD.

Yet he himself bore our sicknesses, and he carried our pains; but we in turn regarded him stricken, struck down by God, and afflicted.But he was pierced because of our rebellion, crushed because of our iniquities; punishment for our peace was on him, and we are healed by his wounds.We all went astray like sheep; we all have turned to our own way; and the LORD has punished him for the iniquity of us all.He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth. Like a lamb led to the slaughter and like a sheep silent before her shearers, he did not open his mouth.He was taken away because of oppression and judgment, and who considered his fate? For he was cut off from the land of the living; he was struck because of my people’s rebellion.He was assigned a grave with the wicked, but he was with a rich man at his death, because he had done no violence and had not spoken deceitfully.Yet the LORD was pleased to crush him severely. When you make him a guilt offering, he will see his seed, he will prolong his days, and by his hand, the LORD’s pleasure will be accomplished.After his anguish, he will see light and be satisfied. By his knowledge, my righteous servant will justify many, and he will carry their iniquities.Therefore I will give him the many as a portion, and he will receive the mighty as spoil, because he willingly submitted to death, and was counted among the rebels; yet he bore the sin of many and interceded for the rebels.

Who is a God like you, forgiving iniquity and passing over rebellion for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not hold on to his anger forever because he delights in faithful love.He will again have compassion on us; he will vanquish our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.

Engrave the two stones with the names of Israel’s sons as a gem cutter engraves a seal. Mount them, surrounded with gold filigree settings.
