你土地上的果實、你勞碌得來的、你不認識的族民必喫盡它；你只是日日不斷地受欺壓受壓制；

永恆主必使你分散於萬族之民中，從地這邊到地那邊；在那裏你必事奉別的神、是你和你列祖素來不認識的、木頭石頭的神。

永恆主必使你們分散於萬族之民中；在永恆主所要領你們到的列國中、你們剩下的人數必稀少。

看哪，永恆主的旋風！他的震怒已經發出！是旋轉的狂風，必旋轉到惡人的頭上。

永恆主發神諭說：我從前分散你們在天之四方；現在呢、永恆主發神諭：哦！哦！你們從北方之地逃回來哦！

『我剪滅了列國；他們的城角樓荒涼；我使他們的街道荒廢，全無經過的人；他們的城市被毁壞，沒有一人，沒有居民。

永恆主必顯現在他們以上；他的箭必射出如閃電；主永恆主必吹號角，乘南方的旋風而行。

關於曠野的神託之言，有話從可怕之地而來，就像旋風猛然掃過南方。

永恆主發神諭說：以色列家啊，看吧，我必使一國的人從遠方來攻擊你：是個持久不敗的國，是個從古就有的國：這一個國、它的語言你不曉得；他們說甚麼、你不曉得聽。

我必在爭戰的日子用吶喊、在旋風之日用風暴點火在拉巴的城牆，燒燬它的宮堡；

看哪，永恆主的旋風！他的震怒已經發出！橫吹直掃的狂風，必旋轉到惡人的頭上。

那時必有話對這人民和耶路撒冷說：在曠野無草木的高處上有一陣熱風向我子民颳來，不是為了簸揚，也不是為了揚淨，必有一陣太大的風、不是這些穀子所受得了的、為我颳來。現在是我要說出判語來定他們的罪。』

尼布甲尼撒二十三年、護衛長尼布撒拉旦使猶大人七百四十五名流亡；總共四千六百人。

首領們對巴錄說：『去哦，你和耶利米都要去藏起來；不要叫人知道你們在哪裏。』

永恆主必從遠方、從地儘邊把一國的人帶來像兀鷹突飛猛攫來攻擊你。這一國說的話你不曉得聽，

永恆主不輕易發怒，而是大有能力；永恆主絕不以有罪的為無罪。他所行的路乃在狂風暴雨中，雲彩是他腳下的飛塵。

你用你的戈矛刺透了他戰士的頭；這些戰士就是前來如暴風、要使我分散的；他們所喜愛的是要在暗中吞喫貧民。

這是要成就永恆主的話、由耶利米口中說出來的、說：直到這地享滿了安息為止；因為儘這地荒涼的日子，這地總是守着安息，直守滿了七十年。

我必使你們四散於外國中，我必拔刀來追趕你們，你們的地就荒涼，你們的城市就荒廢。

因此我的烈怒和怒氣必倒在猶大的城市和耶路撒冷的街上，而着起來，以致它們都荒廢淒涼、正如今日一樣。

主啊，求你按你所顯的義氣使你的怒氣烈怒轉離你的城耶路撒冷，你的聖山；因為為了我們的罪和我們列祖的罪孽之緣故、耶路撒冷和你的子民已成了我們四圍眾人所羞辱的了。如今我們的上帝啊，聽你僕人的禱告和懇求哦！主啊，為了你自己的緣故使你的臉光照你這荒涼的聖地吧！我的上帝啊，傾耳以聽，睜眼而看我們荒涼之地和這稱為你名下的城哦；因為我們把懇求的話呈到你面前、並不是靠着我們自己的義，乃是靠着你的大憐憫。

從這四個角之中的一個又長出另一個角來，是小的，向南、向東、向華美之地漸漸成了非常強大。

願他們不知不覺被割掉像荊棘，像蒺藜像刺草，願他就用旋風給一齊颳去！

外國之民怒號着，就像大水之怒號。但上帝叱責他們，他們就遠遠地逃跑，又被追趕、如同山上的風前糠，又如暴風前的滾轉草。

『萬軍之永恆主這麼說：看吧，必有災禍從這國發出，延到那國；必有大狂風從地之極處激動起來。當那日子、從地這邊到地那邊、都必有永恆主刺死的人，也沒有人給舉哀；他們都不得收殮，不得埋葬；都在地面上成了糞土。

我必打發野地的走獸到你們中間、使你們喪失兒女，剪滅你們的牲口、減少你們的人數，你們的道路就荒涼。

『因為你看吧，永恆主必乘着火來臨，他的車輦如同旋風；他必用他怒氣之猛烈施報應，用火燄行他的叱責。
