The people of Bethel had sent Sharezer and Regem-Melek, together with their men, to entreat the Lord

The people of Bethel wanted to ask the Lord for his blessing. So they sent Sharezer and Regem- Melek and their men.

Now the people of Bethel had sent Sharezer and Regem-melech and their men to entreat the favor of the Lord,

The people of Bethel had sent Sharezer and Regemmelech, along with their attendants, to seek the Lord’s favor.

Now the people of Bethel had sent Sharezer, Regem-melech, and their men to plead for the LORD’s favor

Now the town of Bethel had sent Sharezer and Regemmelech and their men to seek the favor of the Lord,

when the people sent Sherezer, with Regem-Melech and his men, to the house of God, to pray before the Lord,

Now they of Beth- el had sent Sharezer and Regem- melech, and their men, to entreat the favor of Jehovah,

Now the people of Bethel had sent Sharezer, Regem-melech, and their men to plead for the Lord’s favor

When they had sent unto the house of God Sherezer and Regemmelech, and their men, to pray before the LORD,

Now the people of Bethel had sent Sharezer and Regem-Melech and their companions to seek the LORD’s favor

and the inhabitants of one shall go to another, saying,‘ Let’s go speedily to entreat the favor of Yahweh, and to seek Yahweh of Armies. I will go also.’

Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him to death? Didn’t he fear Yahweh, and entreat the favor of Yahweh, and Yahweh relented of the disaster which he had pronounced against them? We would commit great evil against our own souls that way!”

therefore I said,‘ Now the Philistines will come down on me to Gilgal, and I haven’t entreated the favor of Yahweh.’ I forced myself therefore, and offered the burnt offering.”

The king answered the man of God,“ Now intercede for the favor of Yahweh your God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again.” The man of God interceded with Yahweh, and the king’s hand was restored to him again, and became as it was before.

All the flocks of Kedar will be gathered together to you. The rams of Nebaioth will serve you. They will be accepted as offerings on my altar; and I will beautify my glorious house.

“ Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah; and come the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah, where they have come from Babylon.

Moses begged Yahweh his God, and said,“ Yahweh, why does your wrath burn hot against your people, that you have brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand?

and to carry the silver and gold, which the king and his counselors have freely offered to the God of Israel, whose habitation is in Jerusalem,and all the silver and gold that you will find in all the province of Babylon, with the free will offering of the people, and of the priests, offering willingly for the house of their God which is in Jerusalem;therefore you shall with all diligence buy with this money bulls, rams, lambs, with their meal offerings and their drink offerings, and shall offer them on the altar of the house of your God which is in Jerusalem.Whatever seems good to you and to your brothers to do with the rest of the silver and the gold, do that according to the will of your God.The vessels that are given to you for the service of the house of your God, deliver before the God of Jerusalem.Whatever more will be needed for the house of your God, which you may have occasion to give, give it out of the king’s treasure house.I, even I Artaxerxes the king, make a decree to all the treasurers who are beyond the River, that whatever Ezra the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, requires of you, it shall be done with all diligence,up to one hundred talents of silver, and to one hundred cors of wheat, and to one hundred baths of wine, and to one hundred baths of oil, and salt without prescribing how much.Whatever is commanded by the God of heaven, let it be done exactly for the house of the God of heaven; for why should there be wrath against the realm of the king and his sons?

that they may offer sacrifices of pleasant aroma to the God of heaven, and pray for the life of the king, and of his sons.

I said to them,“ You are holy to Yahweh, and the vessels are holy. The silver and the gold are a free will offering to Yahweh, the God of your fathers.Watch and keep them, until you weigh them before the chiefs of the priests and the Levites, and the princes of the fathers’ households of Israel, at Jerusalem, in the rooms of Yahweh’s house.”So the priests and the Levites received the weight of the silver and the gold, and the vessels, to bring them to Jerusalem to the house of our God.
