by asking the priests of the house of the Lord Almighty and the prophets,“ Should I mourn and fast in the fifth month, as I have done for so many years?”

They went to the prophets and priests at the Lord’ s temple. They asked them,“ Should we mourn and go without eating in the fifth month? That’s what we’ve done for many years.”

saying to the priests of the house of the Lord of hosts and the prophets,“ Should I weep and abstain in the fifth month, as I have done for so many years?”

They were to ask this question of the prophets and the priests at the Temple of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies:“ Should we continue to mourn and fast each summer on the anniversary of the Temple’s destruction, as we have done for so many years?”

by asking the priests who were at the house of the LORD of Armies as well as the prophets,“ Should we mourn and fast in the fifth month as we have done these many years?”

speaking to the priests who belong to the house of the Lord of armies, and to the prophets, saying,“ Shall I weep in the fifth month and fast, as I have done these many years?”

and to ask the priests who were in the house of the Lord of hosts, and the prophets, saying,“ Should I weep in the fifth month and fast as I have done for so many years?”

and to speak unto the priests of the house of Jehovah of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?

by asking the priests who were at the house of the Lord of Hosts as well as the prophets,“ Should we mourn and fast in the fifth month as we have done these many years?”

[ And] to speak unto the priests which[ were] in the house of the LORD of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?

by asking both the priests of the temple of the LORD WHO RULES OVER ALL and the prophets,“ Should we weep in the fifth month, fasting as we have done over the years?”

and to speak to the priests of the house of Yahweh of Armies, and to the prophets, saying,“ Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?”

“万军之耶和华如此说：四月的禁食、五月的禁食、七月的禁食和十月的禁食，必成为犹大家的欢喜和快乐，以及美好的节期；所以你们要喜爱诚实与和平。

祭司的嘴唇当守护知识，人也当从他口中寻求训诲，因为他是万军之耶和华的使者。

要亲近神，神就必亲近你们。有罪的人哪，要洁净你们的手！心怀二意的人哪，要清洁你们的心！你们要愁苦，悲哀，哭泣；要将欢笑变为悲哀，欢乐变为愁闷。要在主面前谦卑，他就使你们高升。

事奉耶和华的祭司要在走廊和祭坛间哭泣，说：“耶和华啊，求你顾惜你的百姓，不要使你的产业受羞辱，在列国中成为笑柄。为何让人在万民中说‘他们的神在哪里’呢？”

夫妻不可忽略对方的需求，除非为了要专心祷告，在两相情愿下暂时分房；以后仍要同房，免得撒但趁着你们情不自禁而引诱你们。

去见利未家的祭司和当时的审判官，求问他们，他们必将判决指示你。他们在耶和华所选择的地方指示你的判决，你要执行，谨守遵行他们一切所教导你的。要按照所教导你的律法、所告诉你的典章去执行；他们指示你的判决，你不可偏离左右。

“你要向这地全体百姓和祭司说：‘你们这七十年来，在五月、七月禁食悲哀，岂是真的向我禁食吗？

这地必哀哭：一家一家地哭，大卫家的家族聚在一处，他们的妇女聚在一处；拿单家的家族聚在一处，他们的妇女聚在一处。利未家的家族聚在一处，他们的妇女聚在一处；示每家的家族聚在一处，他们的妇女聚在一处。其余的各家，每一家的家族聚在一处，他们的妇女聚在一处。”

当那日，万军之主耶和华使人哭泣哀号，头上光秃，身披麻布。看哪，人却欢喜快乐，宰牛杀羊，吃肉喝酒：“让我们吃吃喝喝吧！因为明天要死了。”

尼希米省长、以斯拉祭司文士，和教导百姓的利未人对众百姓说：“今日是耶和华—你们神的圣日，不要悲哀，也不要哭泣。”这是因为众百姓听见律法书上的话都哭了。尼希米对他们说：“你们去吃肥美的，喝甘甜的，有不能预备的就分给他，因为今日是我们主的圣日。你们不要忧愁，因靠耶和华而得的喜乐是你们的力量。”于是利未人叫众百姓安静，说：“安静，因今日是圣日，不要忧愁。”

“万军之耶和华如此说，你要向祭司请教律法，说：

耶稣对他们说：“新郎和宾客在一起的时候，宾客怎么能哀恸呢？但日子将到，新郎要被带走，那时候他们就要禁食了。

哭有时，笑有时；哀恸有时，跳舞有时；

他们要教导我的子民分辨圣与俗，使他们知道洁净和不洁净的分别。有争讼的事，他们应当审判，按我的典章审判。他们要在我的节期守我的律法和条例，也当以我的安息日为圣日。

这月二十四日，以色列人聚集禁食，他们披麻蒙灰。以色列的后裔与所有的外邦人分别出来，站着承认自己的罪和祖先的罪孽。那日的四分之一，他们站在自己的地方念耶和华—他们神的律法书，又在那日的四分之一认罪，敬拜耶和华—他们的神。

他们将你的典章教导雅各，将你的律法教导以色列。他们奉上香让你闻，把全牲的燔祭献在你坛上。

我的百姓因无知识而灭亡。你抛弃知识，我也必抛弃你，使你不再作我的祭司。你既忘了你神的律法，我也必忘记你的儿女。
