耶和華曰、大馬色人犯罪、至三至四、更以鐵器擊基列民人、故我必罰其罪、火焚哈泄家、燬便哈達之宮殿。又曰、我將破大馬色之關、誅必甲亞文之居民、戮伯埃田之執政、遷亞蘭人於吉地。

以大馬色之事、播告於眾、曰、哈末亞八已聞凶耗、恐懼喪膽、不勝戰慄、若海濤之未定。大馬色人失志、欲旋師而遁、恐懼憂愁、若婦將娩。斯邑也、昔為人所揄揚、所欣喜、今則棄之如遺。萬有之主耶和華曰、當斯之時、壯者仆於逵衢、武士已遭殲滅。必火大馬色城垣、毀便哈達宮殿。

余恆仰耶和華、故足脫於網罟兮、

耶利米曰耶和華與、爾施大力、以捍衛予、我罹患難、爾拯救予、異邦人自地極將至、告曰、我祖所崇事者、誕妄無益。

萬物惟爾是仰、隨時給食兮、

主言必罰雅各家、以色列族、使以法蓮、撒馬利亞居民、無不共知、彼心驕志傲、常自言曰、瓦傾圮、我以石建、桑斬伐、吾用柏香木、故耶和華必使哩汛之敵人蜂起、眾寇糾合、以攻以法蓮、東則有亞蘭人、西有非利士人、厥口孔張、吞噬以色列族、主之忿怒、猶未息也、主之降罰、尚未已也。耶和華為萬有之主、屢擊斯民、尚不知悛改、以求施恩、故一日之間、耶和華絕以色列族之眾、自尊逮卑、自喬木至於叢葦、靡不斬伐、具齒爵、其尊者也、為偽師、其卑者也、訓導斯民者、偏頗是尚、為所蠱惑者、淪胥以亡、維彼狂妄之徒、言偽而行惡、故主不悅其丁男、不惜其孤寡、其忿怒猶未息、其降罰猶未已、彼作惡事、災及其身、如荊棘之遭焚、如叢林之被爇、烟燄上騰。萬有之主耶和華震怒、燬其國民、有若蒭蕘、焚之務盡、雖兄弟不相顧、左吞右噬、猶不厭足、而自嚙其臂、馬拿西攻以法蓮以法蓮攻馬拿西、二族兼攻猶大、上帝之忿怒猶未息、降罰猶未已也。

耶和華又曰、譬彼牧童、脫羊二足一耳、出於獅口、以色列族居撒馬利亞及大馬色、若偃卧於床隅、必蒙救援亦若是、

我上帝耶和華至聖、展一臂之力、救彼選民、使列國地極之人、皆親見之。
