Isaiah 29:19 - The humble will be filled with fresh joy from the Lord. The poor will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
Zephaniah 3:12 - Those who are left will be the lowly and humble, for it is they who trust in the name of the Lord.
Isaiah 26:5 - He humbles the proud and brings down the arrogant city. He brings it down to the dust.
Isaiah 26:6 - The poor and oppressed trample it underfoot, and the needy walk all over it.
2 Corinthians 4:7 - We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.

Acts of the Apostles 4:13 - The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus.
Acts of the Apostles 4:14 - But since they could see the man who had been healed standing right there among them, there was nothing the council could say.
Acts of the Apostles 4:15 - So they ordered Peter and John out of the council chamber and conferred among themselves.
Acts of the Apostles 4:16 - “What should we do with these men?” they asked each other. “We can’t deny that they have performed a miraculous sign, and everybody in Jerusalem knows about it.
Acts of the Apostles 4:17 - But to keep them from spreading their propaganda any further, we must warn them not to speak to anyone in Jesus’ name again.”
Acts of the Apostles 4:18 - So they called the apostles back in and commanded them never again to speak or teach in the name of Jesus.
Acts of the Apostles 4:19 - But Peter and John replied, “Do you think God wants us to obey you rather than him?
Acts of the Apostles 4:20 - We cannot stop telling about everything we have seen and heard.”
Acts of the Apostles 4:21 - The council then threatened them further, but they finally let them go because they didn’t know how to punish them without starting a riot. For everyone was praising God
Matthew 11:25 - At that time Jesus prayed this prayer: “O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them to the childlike.
Psalms 8:2 - You have taught children and infants to tell of your strength, silencing your enemies and all who oppose you.
1 Corinthians 1:20 - So where does this leave the philosophers, the scholars, and the world’s brilliant debaters? God has made the wisdom of this world look foolish.
James 2:5 - Listen to me, dear brothers and sisters. Hasn’t God chosen the poor in this world to be rich in faith? Aren’t they the ones who will inherit the Kingdom he promised to those who love him?
