Isaiah 19:12 - Where then are your wise men? Please let them tell you, And let them understand what the Lord of hosts Has purposed against Egypt [if they can].

Exodus 5:8 - But the number of bricks which they were making before, you shall [still] require of them; you are not to reduce it in the least. For they are idle and lazy; that is why they cry, ‘Let us go and sacrifice to our God.’
Exodus 5:9 - Let labor be heavier on the men, and let them work [hard] at it so that they will pay no attention to [their God’s] lying words.”
1 Kings 12:10 - The young men who had grown up with him answered, “This is what you should say to this people who told you, ‘Your father made our yoke heavy, but as for you, make our yoke lighter’—say this to them: ‘My little finger is thicker than my father’s loins [and my reign will be even more severe].
1 Kings 12:11 - And now, whereas my father loaded you with a heavy yoke, I will add to your yoke. My father disciplined you with whips, but I will discipline you with scorpions.’ ”
Exodus 5:16 - No straw is given to your servants, yet they say to us, ‘Make bricks!’ And look, your servants are being beaten, but it is the fault of your own people.”
Exodus 5:17 - But Pharaoh said, “You are lazy, very lazy and idle! That is why you say, ‘Let us go and sacrifice to the Lord.’
Exodus 5:18 - Get out now and get to work; for no straw will be given to you, yet you are to deliver the same quota of bricks.”
