Nehemiah 1:9 - But if you repent and obey my commandments and do them, then even if your dispersed people are in the most remote location, I will gather them from there and bring them to the place I have chosen for my name to reside.’
2 Kings 23:27 - The Lord announced, “I will also spurn Judah, just as I spurned Israel. I will reject this city that I chose – both Jerusalem and the temple, about which I said, “I will live there.”
2 Chronicles 6:5 - He told David, ‘Since the day I brought my people out of the land of Egypt, I have not chosen a city from all the tribes of Israel to build a temple in which to live. Nor did I choose a man as leader of my people Israel.
2 Chronicles 6:6 - But now I have chosen Jerusalem as a place to live, and I have chosen David to lead my people Israel.’

Nehemiah 1:6 - may your ear be attentive and your eyes be open to hear the prayer of your servant that I am praying to you today throughout both day and night on behalf of your servants the Israelites. I am confessing the sins of the Israelites that we have committed against you – both I myself and my family have sinned.
2 Chronicles 6:20 - Night and day may you watch over this temple, the place where you promised you would live. May you answer your servant’s prayer for this place.
