The Message - You’ve forced me to talk this way, and I do it against my better judgment. But now that we’re at it, I may as well bring up the matter of visions and revelations that God gave me. For instance, I know a man who, fourteen years ago, was seized by Christ and swept in ecstasy to the heights of heaven. I really don’t know if this took place in the body or out of it; only God knows. I also know that this man was hijacked into paradise—again, whether in or out of the body, I don’t know; God knows. There he heard the unspeakable spoken, but was forbidden to tell what he heard. This is the man I want to talk about. But about myself, I’m not saying another word apart from the humiliations.

Ezekiel 1:4 - I looked up and saw a windstorm coming from the north. I saw a huge cloud. The fire of lightning was flashing out of it. Bright light surrounded it. The center of the fire looked like glowing metal.
Ezekiel 1:5 - I saw in the fire something that looked like four living creatures. They appeared to have the shape of a human being.
Ezekiel 1:6 - But each of them had four faces and four wings.
Ezekiel 1:7 - Their legs were straight. Their feet looked like the feet of a calf. They were as bright as polished bronze.
Ezekiel 1:8 - The creatures had human hands under their wings on their four sides. All four of them had faces and wings.
Ezekiel 1:9 - The wings of one touched the wings of another. Each of the creatures went straight ahead. They didn’t change their direction as they moved.
Ezekiel 1:10 - Here’s what their faces looked like. Each of the four creatures had the face of a human being. On the right side each had the face of a lion. On the left each had the face of an ox. Each one also had an eagle’s face.
Ezekiel 1:11 - That’s what their faces looked like. They each had two wings that spread out and lifted up. Each wing touched the wing of another creature on either side. They each had two other wings that covered their bodies.
Ezekiel 1:12 - All the creatures went straight ahead. Anywhere their spirits would lead them to go, they would go. They didn’t change their direction as they went.
Ezekiel 1:13 - The living creatures looked like burning coals of fire or like torches. Fire moved back and forth among the creatures. It was bright. Lightning flashed out of it.

Ezekiel 1:15 - As I looked at the living creatures, I saw wheels on the ground beside them. Each creature had four faces.
Ezekiel 1:16 - Here’s how the wheels looked and worked. They gleamed like topaz. All four of them looked alike. Each one seemed to be made like a wheel inside another wheel at right angles.
Ezekiel 1:17 - The wheels could go in any one of the four directions the creatures faced. The wheels didn’t change their direction as the creatures moved.
Ezekiel 1:18 - Their rims were high and terrifying. All four rims were full of eyes all the way around them.
Ezekiel 1:19 - When the living creatures moved, the wheels beside them moved. When the creatures rose from the ground, the wheels also rose.
Ezekiel 1:20 - Anywhere their spirits would lead them to go, they would go. And the wheels would rise along with them. That’s because the spirits of the living creatures were in the wheels.

Ezekiel 1:22 - Something that looked like a huge space was spread out above the heads of the living creatures. It gleamed like crystal. It was terrifying.
Ezekiel 1:23 - The wings of the creatures were spread out under the space. They reached out toward one another. Each creature had two wings covering its body.
Ezekiel 1:24 - When the living creatures moved, I heard the sound of their wings. It was like the roar of rushing waters. It sounded like the thundering voice of the Mighty God. It was like the loud noise an army makes. When the creatures stood still, they lowered their wings.

Ephesians 3:3 - I’m talking about the mystery God showed me. I have already written a little about it.
1 Corinthians 6:12 - Some of you say, “I have the right to do anything.” But not everything is helpful. Again some of you say, “I have the right to do anything.” But I will not be controlled by anything.
Ezekiel 1:1 - I was 30 years old. I was with my people. We had been taken away from our country. We were by the Kebar River in the land of Babylon. On the fifth day of the fourth month, the heavens were opened. I saw visions of God.
Ezekiel 1:2 - It was the fifth day of the month. Jehoiachin had been king of Judah. It was the fifth year since he had been brought to Babylon as a prisoner.
Ezekiel 1:3 - A message from the Lord came to me. I was by the Kebar River in Babylon. The power of the Lord came on me there. I am Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi.
Ezekiel 1:4 - I looked up and saw a windstorm coming from the north. I saw a huge cloud. The fire of lightning was flashing out of it. Bright light surrounded it. The center of the fire looked like glowing metal.
Ezekiel 1:5 - I saw in the fire something that looked like four living creatures. They appeared to have the shape of a human being.
Ezekiel 1:6 - But each of them had four faces and four wings.
Ezekiel 1:7 - Their legs were straight. Their feet looked like the feet of a calf. They were as bright as polished bronze.
Ezekiel 1:8 - The creatures had human hands under their wings on their four sides. All four of them had faces and wings.
Ezekiel 1:9 - The wings of one touched the wings of another. Each of the creatures went straight ahead. They didn’t change their direction as they moved.
Ezekiel 1:10 - Here’s what their faces looked like. Each of the four creatures had the face of a human being. On the right side each had the face of a lion. On the left each had the face of an ox. Each one also had an eagle’s face.
Ezekiel 1:11 - That’s what their faces looked like. They each had two wings that spread out and lifted up. Each wing touched the wing of another creature on either side. They each had two other wings that covered their bodies.
Ezekiel 1:12 - All the creatures went straight ahead. Anywhere their spirits would lead them to go, they would go. They didn’t change their direction as they went.
Ezekiel 1:13 - The living creatures looked like burning coals of fire or like torches. Fire moved back and forth among the creatures. It was bright. Lightning flashed out of it.
Ezekiel 1:14 - The creatures raced back and forth like flashes of lightning.
Ezekiel 1:15 - As I looked at the living creatures, I saw wheels on the ground beside them. Each creature had four faces.
Ezekiel 1:16 - Here’s how the wheels looked and worked. They gleamed like topaz. All four of them looked alike. Each one seemed to be made like a wheel inside another wheel at right angles.
Ezekiel 1:17 - The wheels could go in any one of the four directions the creatures faced. The wheels didn’t change their direction as the creatures moved.
Ezekiel 1:18 - Their rims were high and terrifying. All four rims were full of eyes all the way around them.
Ezekiel 1:19 - When the living creatures moved, the wheels beside them moved. When the creatures rose from the ground, the wheels also rose.
Ezekiel 1:20 - Anywhere their spirits would lead them to go, they would go. And the wheels would rise along with them. That’s because the spirits of the living creatures were in the wheels.
Ezekiel 1:21 - When the living creatures moved, the wheels also moved. When the creatures stood still, they also stood still. When the creatures rose from the ground, the wheels rose along with them. That’s because the spirits of the living creatures were in the wheels.
Ezekiel 1:22 - Something that looked like a huge space was spread out above the heads of the living creatures. It gleamed like crystal. It was terrifying.
Ezekiel 1:23 - The wings of the creatures were spread out under the space. They reached out toward one another. Each creature had two wings covering its body.
Ezekiel 1:24 - When the living creatures moved, I heard the sound of their wings. It was like the roar of rushing waters. It sounded like the thundering voice of the Mighty God. It was like the loud noise an army makes. When the creatures stood still, they lowered their wings.
Ezekiel 1:25 - Then a voice came from above the huge space over their heads. They stood with their wings lowered.
Ezekiel 1:26 - Above the space over their heads was something that looked like a throne made out of lapis lazuli. On the throne high above was a figure that appeared to be a man.
Ezekiel 1:27 - From his waist up he looked like glowing metal that was full of fire. From his waist down he looked like fire. Bright light surrounded him.
Ezekiel 1:28 - The glow around him looked like a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day. That’s what the glory of the Lord looked like. When I saw it, I fell with my face toward the ground. Then I heard the voice of someone speaking.
John 18:14 - Caiaphas had advised the Jewish leaders that it would be good if one man died for the people.
Daniel 10:5 - I looked up and saw a man dressed in linen clothes. He had a belt around his waist. It was made out of fine gold from Uphaz.

Daniel 10:7 - I was the only one who saw the vision. The people who were there with me didn’t see it. But they were so terrified that they ran and hid.
Daniel 10:8 - So I was left alone as I was watching this great vision. I felt very weak. My face turned as pale as death. And I was helpless.
Daniel 10:9 - Then I heard the man speak. As I listened to him, I fell sound asleep. My face was toward the ground.
Daniel 10:10 - A hand touched me. It pulled me up on my hands and knees. I began to tremble with fear.
Acts 18:9 - One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Keep on speaking. Don’t be silent.

Acts 9:12 - In a vision Saul has seen a man come and place his hands on him. That man’s name is Ananias. In the vision, Ananias placed his hands on Saul so he could see again.”
Acts 9:13 - “Lord,” Ananias answered, “I’ve heard many reports about this man. They say he has done great harm to your holy people in Jerusalem.
Acts 9:14 - Now he has come here to arrest all those who worship you. The chief priests have given him authority to do this.”
Acts 9:15 - But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! I have chosen this man to work for me. He will announce my name to the Gentiles and to their kings. He will also announce my name to the people of Israel.
Acts 9:16 - I will show him how much he must suffer for me.”
Acts 9:17 - Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. He placed his hands on Saul. “Brother Saul,” he said, “you saw the Lord Jesus. He appeared to you on the road as you were coming here. He has sent me so that you will be able to see again. You will be filled with the Holy Spirit.”
Joel 2:28 - “After that, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will have dreams. Your young men will have visions.

Acts 26:13 - About noon, King Agrippa, I was on the road. I saw a light coming from heaven. It was brighter than the sun. It was shining around me and my companions.
Acts 26:14 - We all fell to the ground. I heard a voice speak to me in the Aramaic language. ‘Saul! Saul!’ it said. ‘Why are you opposing me? It is hard for you to go against what you know is right.’
Acts 26:15 - “Then I asked, ‘Who are you, Lord?’ “ ‘I am Jesus,’ the Lord replied. ‘I am the one you are opposing.
Acts 26:16 - Now get up. Stand on your feet. I have appeared to you to appoint you to serve me. And you must tell other people about me. You must tell others that you have seen me today. You must also tell them that I will show myself to you again.
Acts 26:17 - I will save you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them

Ezekiel 11:24 - The Spirit of God lifted me up. He took me to those who had been brought to Babylon as prisoners. These are the things that happened in the visions the Spirit gave me. Then the visions I had seen were gone.
2 Corinthians 12:11 - I have made a fool of myself. But you made me do it. You should have praised me. Even though I am nothing, I am in no way less important than the “super-apostles.”
Acts 22:17 - “I returned to Jerusalem and was praying at the temple. Then it seemed to me that I was dreaming.
Acts 22:18 - I saw the Lord speaking to me. ‘Quick!’ he said. ‘Leave Jerusalem at once. The people here will not accept what you tell them about me.’
Acts 22:19 - “ ‘Lord,’ I replied, ‘these people know what I used to do. I went from one synagogue to another and put believers in prison. I also beat them.
Acts 22:20 - Stephen was a man who told other people about you. I stood there when he was killed. I had agreed that he should die. I even guarded the coats of those who were killing him.’
Acts 22:21 - “Then the Lord said to me, ‘Go. I will send you far away to people who are not Jews.’ ”
2 Corinthians 12:7 - God has shown me amazing and wonderful things. People should not think more of me because of it. So I wouldn’t become proud of myself, I was given a problem. This problem caused pain in my body. It is a messenger from Satan to make me suffer.
Galatians 1:12 - No one gave it to me. No one taught it to me. Instead, I received it from Jesus Christ. He showed it to me.
