  • 1 Kings 16:32 - He set up an altar to honor Baal. He set it up in the temple of Baal that he built in Samaria.
  • 1 Kings 16:33 - Ahab also made a pole used to worship the female god named Asherah. He made the Lord very angry. Ahab did more to make him angry than all the kings of Israel had done before him. The Lord is the God of Israel.
  • 1 Kings 16:19 - because of the sins he had committed. He had done what was evil in the sight of the Lord. He had lived the way Jeroboam had lived. He had committed the same sin Jeroboam had caused Israel to commit.
  • Exodus 23:24 - Do not do what they do. Do not bow down to their gods or worship them. You must destroy the statues of their gods. You must break their sacred stones to pieces.
  • 1 Kings 21:25 - There was never anyone like Ahab. He gave himself over to do what was evil in the sight of the Lord. His wife Jezebel talked him into it.
  • 2 Kings 10:18 - Then Jehu brought together all the people. He said to them, “Ahab served the god named Baal a little. I will serve him a lot.
  • 2 Kings 10:26 - They brought the sacred stone of Baal outside. They burned it up.
  • 2 Kings 10:27 - So they destroyed Baal’s sacred stone. They also tore down Baal’s temple. People have used it as a public toilet to this day.
  • 2 Kings 10:28 - So Jehu destroyed the worship of the god named Baal in Israel.
