  • Isaiah 28:7 - Even these stagger because of wine and stumble under the influence of beer: Priest and prophet stagger because of beer. They are confused by wine. They stumble because of beer. They are muddled in their visions. They stumble in their judgments.

  • Jeremiah 37:21 - So King Zedekiah gave orders, and Jeremiah was placed in the guard’s courtyard. He was given a loaf of bread each day from the bakers’ street until all the bread was gone from the city. So Jeremiah remained in the guard’s courtyard.
  • 2 Thessalonians 1:7 - and to give relief to you who are afflicted, along with us. This will take place at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels,
  • 2 Thessalonians 1:8 - when he takes vengeance with flaming fire on those who don’t know God and on those who don’t obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

  • Mark 6:22 - When Herodias’s own daughter came in and danced, she pleased Herod and his guests. The king said to the girl, “Ask me whatever you want, and I’ll give it to you.”
  • Mark 6:23 - He promised her with an oath: “Whatever you ask me I will give you, up to half my kingdom.”
  • Mark 6:24 - She went out and said to her mother, “What should I ask for?” “John the Baptist’s head,” she said.
  • Jeremiah 38:14 - King Zedekiah sent for the prophet Jeremiah and received him at the third entrance of the Lord’s temple. The king said to Jeremiah, “I am going to ask you something; don’t hide anything from me.”
  • Jeremiah 38:15 - Jeremiah replied to Zedekiah, “If I tell you, you will kill me, won’t you? Besides, if I give you advice, you won’t listen to me anyway.”
  • Jeremiah 38:16 - King Zedekiah swore to Jeremiah in private, “As the Lord lives, who has given us this life, I will not kill you or hand you over to these men who intend to take your life.”
  • Jeremiah 38:17 - Jeremiah therefore said to Zedekiah, “This is what the Lord, the God of Armies, the God of Israel, says: ‘If indeed you surrender to the officials of the king of Babylon, then you will live, this city will not be burned, and you and your household will survive.
  • Jeremiah 38:18 - But if you do not surrender to the officials of the king of Babylon, then this city will be handed over to the Chaldeans. They will burn it, and you yourself will not escape from them.’”
  • Jeremiah 38:19 - But King Zedekiah said to Jeremiah, “I am worried about the Judeans who have defected to the Chaldeans. They may hand me over to the Judeans to abuse me.”
  • Jeremiah 38:20 - “They will not hand you over,” Jeremiah replied. “Obey the Lord in what I am telling you, so it may go well for you and you can live.
  • Jeremiah 38:21 - But if you refuse to surrender, this is the verdict that the Lord has shown me:
  • Jeremiah 38:22 - ‘All the women who remain in the palace of Judah’s king will be brought out to the officials of the king of Babylon and will say to you, “Your trusted friends misled you and overcame you. Your feet sank into the mire, and they deserted you.”
  • Jeremiah 38:23 - All your wives and children will be brought out to the Chaldeans. You yourself will not escape from them, for you will be seized by the king of Babylon and this city will burn.’”
  • Jeremiah 38:24 - Then Zedekiah warned Jeremiah, “Don’t let anyone know about this conversation or you will die.
  • Jeremiah 38:25 - The officials may hear that I have spoken with you and come and demand of you, ‘Tell us what you said to the king; don’t hide anything from us and we won’t kill you. Also, what did the king say to you?’
  • Jeremiah 38:26 - If they do, tell them, ‘I was bringing before the king my petition that he not return me to the house of Jonathan to die there.’”
  • Jeremiah 38:27 - All the officials did come to Jeremiah, and they questioned him. He reported the exact words to them the king had commanded, and they quit speaking with him because the conversation had not been overheard.
  • Jeremiah 38:28 - Jeremiah remained in the guard’s courtyard until the day Jerusalem was captured, and he was there when it happened.
  • Matthew 25:1 - “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the groom.

  • 1 Peter 3:15 - but in your hearts regard Christ the Lord as holy, ready at any time to give a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you.
  • Revelation 20:11 - Then I saw a great white throne and one seated on it. Earth and heaven fled from his presence, and no place was found for them.
  • Revelation 20:12 - I also saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life, and the dead were judged according to their works by what was written in the books.

  • Revelation 20:14 - Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.

  • Isaiah 32:11 - Shudder, you complacent ones; tremble, you overconfident ones! Strip yourselves bare and put sackcloth around your waists.

  • Luke 13:24 - “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because I tell you, many will try to enter and won’t be able
  • Luke 13:25 - once the homeowner gets up and shuts the door. Then you will stand outside and knock on the door, saying, ‘Lord, open up for us! ’ He will answer you, ‘I don’t know you or where you’re from.’
  • Luke 17:26 - “Just as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be in the days of the Son of Man:
  • Luke 17:27 - People went on eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage until the day Noah boarded the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
  • Luke 17:28 - It will be the same as it was in the days of Lot: People went on eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building.
  • Luke 17:29 - But on the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from heaven and destroyed them all.

  • Daniel 12:2 - Many who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake, some to eternal life, and some to disgrace and eternal contempt.
