2 Peter 3:1 - Dear friends, this is now my second letter to you. I have written both of them as reminders. I want to encourage you to think in a way that is pure.

1 Peter 1:7 - Your troubles have come in order to prove that your faith is real. Your faith is worth more than gold. That’s because gold can pass away even when fire has made it pure. Your faith is meant to bring praise, honor and glory to God. This will happen when Jesus Christ returns.
Psalm 136:16 - Give thanks to the God who led his people through the desert. His faithful love continues forever.
Deuteronomy 29:5 - Yet the Lord says, “I led you through the desert for 40 years. During that time your clothes didn’t wear out. The sandals on your feet didn’t wear out either.
Deuteronomy 8:16 - He gave you manna to eat in the desert. Your people had never even known anything about manna before. The Lord took your pride away. He tested you. He did it so that things would go well with you in the end.

2 Chronicles 32:31 - The rulers of Babylon sent messengers to him. They asked him about the miraculous sign that had taken place in the land. Then God left Hezekiah to test him. God wanted to know everything in Hezekiah’s heart.
1 Peter 5:5 - In the same way, I’m speaking to you who are younger. Follow the lead of those who are older. All of you, put on a spirit free of pride toward one another. Put it on as if it were your clothes. Do this because Scripture says, “God opposes those who are proud. But he gives grace to those who are humble.” ( Proverbs 3:34 )
1 Peter 5:6 - So make yourselves humble. Put yourselves under God’s mighty hand. Then he will honor you at the right time.
James 1:3 - Your faith will be tested. You know that when this happens it will produce in you the strength to continue.
