  • Exodus 22:9 - In all cases of illegal possession of an ox, a donkey, a sheep, a garment, or any other lost property about which somebody says, ‘This is mine,’ both parties are to bring their cases before the judges. The one whom the judges declare guilty must pay back double to the other.
  • 1 Kings 12:7 - They replied, “If today you will be a servant to these people and serve them and give them a favorable answer, they will always be your servants.”
  • 1 Samuel 28:2 - David said, “Then you will see for yourself what your servant can do.” Achish replied, “Very well, I will make you my bodyguard for life.”
  • Zephaniah 3:3 - Her officials within her are roaring lions; her rulers are evening wolves, who leave nothing for the morning.
  • 1 Samuel 8:1 - When Samuel grew old, he appointed his sons as Israel’s leaders.
  • 1 Samuel 8:2 - The name of his firstborn was Joel and the name of his second was Abijah, and they served at Beersheba.
  • Numbers 25:5 - So Moses said to Israel’s judges, “Each of you must put to death those of your people who have yoked themselves to the Baal of Peor.”
  • Numbers 25:6 - Then an Israelite man brought into the camp a Midianite woman right before the eyes of Moses and the whole assembly of Israel while they were weeping at the entrance to the tent of meeting.
  • Numbers 25:7 - When Phinehas son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, the priest, saw this, he left the assembly, took a spear in his hand
  • Numbers 25:8 - and followed the Israelite into the tent. He drove the spear into both of them, right through the Israelite man and into the woman’s stomach. Then the plague against the Israelites was stopped;
  • Exodus 12:12 - “On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn of both people and animals, and I will bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am the Lord.
  • Exodus 21:22 - “If people are fighting and hit a pregnant woman and she gives birth prematurely but there is no serious injury, the offender must be fined whatever the woman’s husband demands and the court allows.
  • Leviticus 25:40 - They are to be treated as hired workers or temporary residents among you; they are to work for you until the Year of Jubilee.
  • Deuteronomy 15:17 - then take an awl and push it through his earlobe into the door, and he will become your servant for life. Do the same for your female servant.
