Jeremiah 4:10 - Then I said, “You are my Lord and King. You have completely tricked the people of Judah and Jerusalem! You have told them, ‘You will have peace and rest.’ But swords are pointed at our throats!”
Genesis 3:4 - “You will certainly not die,” the serpent said to the woman.
Genesis 3:5 - “God knows that when you eat fruit from that tree, you will know things you have never known before. Like God, you will be able to tell the difference between good and evil.”
Jeremiah 28:16 - So the Lord says, ‘I am about to remove you from the face of the earth. Before this year is over, you will die. You have taught the people to turn against me.’ ”
Jeremiah 8:11 - They bandage the wounds of my people as if they were not very deep. ‘Peace, peace,’ they say. But there isn’t any peace.
Jeremiah 27:14 - Don’t listen to the words of the prophets who say to you, ‘You won’t serve the king of Babylon.’ They are prophesying lies to you.

Jeremiah 27:16 - Then I spoke to the priests and all these people. I said, “The Lord says, ‘Do not listen to the prophets who speak to you. They say, “Very soon the objects from the Lord’s house will be brought back from Babylon.” Those prophets are prophesying lies to you.
Jeremiah 27:17 - Do not listen to them. Serve the king of Babylon. Then you will live. Why should this city be destroyed?
Jeremiah 14:13 - But I said, “Lord and King, the prophets keep telling them something else. They say, ‘You won’t have to suffer from war or hunger. Instead, the Lord will give you peace and rest in this place.’ ”
Jeremiah 14:14 - Then the Lord said to me, “The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them. I have not even spoken to them. Everything they tell you about their visions or secret knowledge is a lie. They pretend to bring you messages from other gods. They try to get you to believe their own mistaken ideas.
Jeremiah 14:15 - So here is what I am saying about the prophets who are prophesying in my name. I did not send them. But they are saying, ‘No war or hunger will come to this land.’ Those same prophets will die because of war and hunger.
Jeremiah 14:16 - And the people they are prophesying to will be thrown out into the streets of Jerusalem. They will die because of hunger and war. No one will bury them. No one will bury their wives and children. I will pour out trouble on them. That is exactly what they should get.
Jeremiah 14:17 - “Jeremiah, give them this message. Tell them, “ ‘Let tears flow from my eyes. Let them pour out night and day. Never let them stop. The people of my own nation have suffered a terrible wound. They have been crushed.
Ezekiel 18:21 - “But suppose a sinful person turns away from all the sins they have committed. And they obey all my rules. They do what is fair and right. Then you can be sure they will live. They will not die.

Ezekiel 13:16 - You prophets of Israel prophesied to Jerusalem. You saw visions of peace for its people. But there wasn’t any peace,’ announces the Lord and King.” ’
Ezekiel 9:4 - The Lord said to him, “Go all through Jerusalem. Look for those who are sad and sorry about all the things being done there. I hate those things. Put a mark on the foreheads of those people.”
Jeremiah 23:17 - They keep speaking to those who hate me. They say, ‘The Lord says you will have peace.’ They speak to all those who do what their stubborn hearts want them to do. They tell them, ‘No harm will come to you.’
Jeremiah 23:14 - I have also seen something horrible among Jerusalem’s prophets. They are not faithful to me. They are not living by the truth. They strengthen the hands of those who do evil. So not one of them turns from their sinful ways. All of them are like the people of Sodom to me. They are just like the people of Gomorrah.”
