  • Lamentations 2:22 - “You have invited terrors from all around, as though you were calling them to a day of feasting. In the day of the Lord’s anger, no one has escaped or survived. The enemy has killed all the children whom I carried and raised.”
  • Exodus 1:11 - So the Egyptians made the Israelites their slaves. They appointed brutal slave drivers over them, hoping to wear them down with crushing labor. They forced them to build the cities of Pithom and Rameses as supply centers for the king.
  • Exodus 1:12 - But the more the Egyptians oppressed them, the more the Israelites multiplied and spread, and the more alarmed the Egyptians became.

  • Joshua 24:2 - Joshua said to the people, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Long ago your ancestors, including Terah, the father of Abraham and Nahor, lived beyond the Euphrates River, and they worshiped other gods.
  • Lamentations 2:20 - “O Lord, think about this! Should you treat your own people this way? Should mothers eat their own children, those they once bounced on their knees? Should priests and prophets be killed within the Lord’s Temple?
  • Deuteronomy 5:6 - “I am the Lord your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt, the place of your slavery.
  • Nehemiah 9:7 - “You are the Lord God, who chose Abram and brought him from Ur of the Chaldeans and renamed him Abraham.
  • Nehemiah 9:8 - When he had proved himself faithful, you made a covenant with him to give him and his descendants the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Jebusites, and Girgashites. And you have done what you promised, for you are always true to your word.
  • Nehemiah 9:9 - “You saw the misery of our ancestors in Egypt, and you heard their cries from beside the Red Sea.
  • Deuteronomy 15:15 - Remember that you were once slaves in the land of Egypt and the Lord your God redeemed you! That is why I am giving you this command.
  • Hosea 2:3 - Otherwise, I will strip her as naked as she was on the day she was born. I will leave her to die of thirst, as in a dry and barren wilderness.
