Genesis 18:20 - So the Lord told Abraham, “I have heard a great outcry from Sodom and Gomorrah, because their sin is so flagrant.
Genesis 18:21 - I am going down to see if their actions are as wicked as I have heard. If not, I want to know.”
Genesis 18:22 - The other men turned and headed toward Sodom, but the Lord remained with Abraham.
Genesis 18:23 - Abraham approached him and said, “Will you sweep away both the righteous and the wicked?
Genesis 18:24 - Suppose you find fifty righteous people living there in the city—will you still sweep it away and not spare it for their sakes?
Genesis 18:25 - Surely you wouldn’t do such a thing, destroying the righteous along with the wicked. Why, you would be treating the righteous and the wicked exactly the same! Surely you wouldn’t do that! Should not the Judge of all the earth do what is right?”
Genesis 18:26 - And the Lord replied, “If I find fifty righteous people in Sodom, I will spare the entire city for their sake.”
Genesis 18:27 - Then Abraham spoke again. “Since I have begun, let me speak further to my Lord, even though I am but dust and ashes.
Genesis 18:28 - Suppose there are only forty-five righteous people rather than fifty? Will you destroy the whole city for lack of five?” And the Lord said, “I will not destroy it if I find forty-five righteous people there.”
Genesis 18:29 - Then Abraham pressed his request further. “Suppose there are only forty?” And the Lord replied, “I will not destroy it for the sake of the forty.”
Genesis 18:30 - “Please don’t be angry, my Lord,” Abraham pleaded. “Let me speak—suppose only thirty righteous people are found?” And the Lord replied, “I will not destroy it if I find thirty.”
Genesis 18:31 - Then Abraham said, “Since I have dared to speak to the Lord, let me continue—suppose there are only twenty?” And the Lord replied, “Then I will not destroy it for the sake of the twenty.”
Genesis 18:32 - Finally, Abraham said, “Lord, please don’t be angry with me if I speak one more time. Suppose only ten are found there?” And the Lord replied, “Then I will not destroy it for the sake of the ten.”
Genesis 18:33 - When the Lord had finished his conversation with Abraham, he went on his way, and Abraham returned to his tent.
Revelation 11:8 - And their bodies will lie in the main street of Jerusalem, the city that is figuratively called “Sodom” and “Egypt,” the city where their Lord was crucified.

Ezekiel 16:61 - Then you will remember with shame all the evil you have done. I will make your sisters, Samaria and Sodom, to be your daughters, even though they are not part of our covenant.
Jeremiah 3:8 - She saw that I divorced faithless Israel because of her adultery. But that treacherous sister Judah had no fear, and now she, too, has left me and given herself to prostitution.
Jeremiah 3:9 - Israel treated it all so lightly—she thought nothing of committing adultery by worshiping idols made of wood and stone. So now the land has been polluted.
Jeremiah 3:10 - But despite all this, her faithless sister Judah has never sincerely returned to me. She has only pretended to be sorry. I, the Lord, have spoken!”
Jeremiah 3:11 - Then the Lord said to me, “Even faithless Israel is less guilty than treacherous Judah!
Ezekiel 16:53 - “But someday I will restore the fortunes of Sodom and Samaria, and I will restore you, too.
Ezekiel 16:54 - Then you will be truly ashamed of everything you have done, for your sins make them feel good in comparison.
Ezekiel 16:55 - Yes, your sisters, Sodom and Samaria, and all their people will be restored, and at that time you also will be restored.
Ezekiel 16:56 - In your proud days you held Sodom in contempt.
Ezekiel 16:48 - As surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord, Sodom and her daughters were never as wicked as you and your daughters.
Ezekiel 16:49 - Sodom’s sins were pride, gluttony, and laziness, while the poor and needy suffered outside her door.
Genesis 13:10 - Lot took a long look at the fertile plains of the Jordan Valley in the direction of Zoar. The whole area was well watered everywhere, like the garden of the Lord or the beautiful land of Egypt. (This was before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.)
Genesis 13:11 - Lot chose for himself the whole Jordan Valley to the east of them. He went there with his flocks and servants and parted company with his uncle Abram.
Genesis 13:12 - So Abram settled in the land of Canaan, and Lot moved his tents to a place near Sodom and settled among the cities of the plain.
Genesis 13:13 - But the people of this area were extremely wicked and constantly sinned against the Lord.
Ezekiel 16:51 - “Even Samaria did not commit half your sins. You have done far more detestable things than your sisters ever did. They seem righteous compared to you.
Ezekiel 23:4 - The older girl was named Oholah, and her sister was Oholibah. I married them, and they bore me sons and daughters. I am speaking of Samaria and Jerusalem, for Oholah is Samaria and Oholibah is Jerusalem.
