Numbers 28:14 - Their drink offerings are to be two quarts of wine with each bull, one and a third quarts with the ram, and one quart with each male lamb. This is the monthly burnt offering for all the months of the year.
Numbers 28:15 - And one male goat is to be offered as a sin offering to the Lord, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its drink offering.
Numbers 28:16 - “The Passover to the Lord comes in the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month.
Numbers 28:17 - On the fifteenth day of this month there will be a festival; unleavened bread is to be eaten for seven days.

Nehemiah 8:1 - all the people gathered together at the square in front of the Water Gate. They asked the scribe Ezra to bring the book of the law of Moses that the Lord had given Israel.
Nehemiah 8:2 - On the first day of the seventh month, the priest Ezra brought the law before the assembly of men, women, and all who could listen with understanding.
Nehemiah 8:3 - While he was facing the square in front of the Water Gate, he read out of it from daybreak until noon before the men, the women, and those who could understand. All the people listened attentively to the book of the law.
Nehemiah 8:4 - The scribe Ezra stood on a high wooden platform made for this purpose. Mattithiah, Shema, Anaiah, Uriah, Hilkiah, and Maaseiah stood beside him on his right; to his left were Pedaiah, Mishael, Malchijah, Hashum, Hash-baddanah, Zechariah, and Meshullam.
Nehemiah 8:5 - Ezra opened the book in full view of all the people, since he was elevated above everyone. As he opened it, all the people stood up.
Nehemiah 8:6 - Ezra blessed the Lord, the great God, and with their hands uplifted all the people said, “Amen, Amen!” Then they knelt low and worshiped the Lord with their faces to the ground.
Nehemiah 8:7 - Jeshua, Bani, Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodiah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, and Pelaiah, who were Levites, explained the law to the people as they stood in their places.
Nehemiah 8:8 - They read out of the book of the law of God, translating and giving the meaning so that the people could understand what was read.
Nehemiah 8:9 - Nehemiah the governor, Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who were instructing the people said to all of them, “This day is holy to the Lord your God. Do not mourn or weep.” For all the people were weeping as they heard the words of the law.
Nehemiah 8:10 - Then he said to them, “Go and eat what is rich, drink what is sweet, and send portions to those who have nothing prepared, since today is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, because the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Nehemiah 8:11 - And the Levites quieted all the people, saying, “Be still, since today is holy. Don’t grieve.”
Nehemiah 8:12 - Then all the people began to eat and drink, send portions, and have a great celebration, because they had understood the words that were explained to them.
Nehemiah 8:13 - On the second day, the family heads of all the people, along with the priests and Levites, assembled before the scribe Ezra to study the words of the law.
Nehemiah 8:14 - They found written in the law how the Lord had commanded through Moses that the Israelites should dwell in shelters during the festival of the seventh month.
Nehemiah 8:15 - So they proclaimed and spread this news throughout their towns and in Jerusalem, saying, “Go out to the hill country and bring back branches of olive, wild olive, myrtle, palm, and other leafy trees to make shelters, just as it is written.”
Nehemiah 8:16 - The people went out, brought back branches, and made shelters for themselves on each of their rooftops and courtyards, the court of the house of God, the square by the Water Gate, and the square by the Ephraim Gate.
Nehemiah 8:17 - The whole community that had returned from exile made shelters and lived in them. The Israelites had not celebrated like this from the days of Joshua son of Nun until that day. And there was tremendous joy.
Nehemiah 8:18 - Ezra read out of the book of the law of God every day, from the first day to the last. The Israelites celebrated the festival for seven days, and on the eighth day there was a solemn assembly, according to the ordinance.

Leviticus 23:27 - “The tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. You are to hold a sacred assembly and practice self-denial; you are to present a food offering to the Lord.
Leviticus 23:28 - On this particular day you are not to do any work, for it is a Day of Atonement to make atonement for yourselves before the Lord your God.
Leviticus 23:29 - If any person does not practice self-denial on this particular day, he is to be cut off from his people.
Leviticus 23:30 - I will destroy among his people anyone who does any work on this same day.

Leviticus 23:40 - On the first day you are to take the product of majestic trees — palm fronds, boughs of leafy trees, and willows of the brook — and rejoice before the Lord your God for seven days.
Leviticus 23:41 - You are to celebrate it as a festival to the Lord seven days each year. This is a permanent statute for you throughout your generations; celebrate it in the seventh month.
Leviticus 23:42 - You are to live in shelters for seven days. All the native-born of Israel must live in shelters,

Leviticus 23:44 - So Moses declared the Lord’s appointed times to the Israelites.
Numbers 28:1 - The Lord spoke to Moses,
Numbers 28:2 - “Command the Israelites and say to them: Be sure to present to me at its appointed time my offering and my food as my food offering, a pleasing aroma to me.
Numbers 28:3 - And say to them: This is the food offering you are to present to the Lord: “Each day present two unblemished year-old male lambs as a regular burnt offering.
Numbers 28:4 - Offer one lamb in the morning and the other lamb at twilight,

Numbers 28:13 - and two quarts of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering for each lamb. It is a burnt offering, a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the Lord.
Numbers 28:14 - Their drink offerings are to be two quarts of wine with each bull, one and a third quarts with the ram, and one quart with each male lamb. This is the monthly burnt offering for all the months of the year.
Numbers 28:15 - And one male goat is to be offered as a sin offering to the Lord, in addition to the regular burnt offering with its drink offering.
Numbers 28:16 - “The Passover to the Lord comes in the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month.
Numbers 28:17 - On the fifteenth day of this month there will be a festival; unleavened bread is to be eaten for seven days.
Numbers 28:18 - On the first day there is to be a sacred assembly; you are not to do any daily work.
Numbers 28:19 - Present a food offering, a burnt offering to the Lord: two young bulls, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old. Your animals are to be unblemished.
Numbers 28:20 - The grain offering with them is to be of fine flour mixed with oil; offer six quarts with each bull and four quarts with the ram.
Numbers 28:21 - Offer two quarts with each of the seven lambs
Numbers 28:22 - and one male goat for a sin offering to make atonement for yourselves.

Nehemiah 8:1 - all the people gathered together at the square in front of the Water Gate. They asked the scribe Ezra to bring the book of the law of Moses that the Lord had given Israel.
Nehemiah 8:2 - On the first day of the seventh month, the priest Ezra brought the law before the assembly of men, women, and all who could listen with understanding.
Nehemiah 8:3 - While he was facing the square in front of the Water Gate, he read out of it from daybreak until noon before the men, the women, and those who could understand. All the people listened attentively to the book of the law.
Nehemiah 8:4 - The scribe Ezra stood on a high wooden platform made for this purpose. Mattithiah, Shema, Anaiah, Uriah, Hilkiah, and Maaseiah stood beside him on his right; to his left were Pedaiah, Mishael, Malchijah, Hashum, Hash-baddanah, Zechariah, and Meshullam.
Nehemiah 8:5 - Ezra opened the book in full view of all the people, since he was elevated above everyone. As he opened it, all the people stood up.
Nehemiah 8:6 - Ezra blessed the Lord, the great God, and with their hands uplifted all the people said, “Amen, Amen!” Then they knelt low and worshiped the Lord with their faces to the ground.
Nehemiah 8:7 - Jeshua, Bani, Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodiah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, and Pelaiah, who were Levites, explained the law to the people as they stood in their places.
Nehemiah 8:8 - They read out of the book of the law of God, translating and giving the meaning so that the people could understand what was read.
Nehemiah 8:9 - Nehemiah the governor, Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who were instructing the people said to all of them, “This day is holy to the Lord your God. Do not mourn or weep.” For all the people were weeping as they heard the words of the law.
Nehemiah 8:10 - Then he said to them, “Go and eat what is rich, drink what is sweet, and send portions to those who have nothing prepared, since today is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, because the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
Nehemiah 8:11 - And the Levites quieted all the people, saying, “Be still, since today is holy. Don’t grieve.”
Nehemiah 8:12 - Then all the people began to eat and drink, send portions, and have a great celebration, because they had understood the words that were explained to them.
Nehemiah 8:13 - On the second day, the family heads of all the people, along with the priests and Levites, assembled before the scribe Ezra to study the words of the law.
Nehemiah 8:14 - They found written in the law how the Lord had commanded through Moses that the Israelites should dwell in shelters during the festival of the seventh month.
Nehemiah 8:15 - So they proclaimed and spread this news throughout their towns and in Jerusalem, saying, “Go out to the hill country and bring back branches of olive, wild olive, myrtle, palm, and other leafy trees to make shelters, just as it is written.”
Nehemiah 8:16 - The people went out, brought back branches, and made shelters for themselves on each of their rooftops and courtyards, the court of the house of God, the square by the Water Gate, and the square by the Ephraim Gate.
Nehemiah 8:17 - The whole community that had returned from exile made shelters and lived in them. The Israelites had not celebrated like this from the days of Joshua son of Nun until that day. And there was tremendous joy.
Nehemiah 8:18 - Ezra read out of the book of the law of God every day, from the first day to the last. The Israelites celebrated the festival for seven days, and on the eighth day there was a solemn assembly, according to the ordinance.
2 Chronicles 19:8 - Jehoshaphat also appointed in Jerusalem some of the Levites and priests and some of the Israelite family heads for deciding the Lord’s will and for settling disputes of the residents of Jerusalem.
