  • Numbers 8:2 - “Speak to Aaron, and tell him, ‘When you light the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the lamp stand.’”
  • Numbers 8:3 - Aaron did so. He lit its lamps to light the area in front of the lamp stand, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
  • Numbers 8:4 - This was the workmanship of the lamp stand, beaten work of gold. From its base to its flowers, it was beaten work. He made the lamp stand according to the pattern which Yahweh had shown Moses.

  • Numbers 8:6 - “Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.
  • Numbers 8:7 - You shall do this to them, to cleanse them: sprinkle the water of cleansing on them, let them shave their whole bodies with a razor, let them wash their clothes, and cleanse themselves.
  • Numbers 8:8 - Then let them take a young bull and its meal offering, fine flour mixed with oil; and another young bull you shall take for a sin offering.
  • Numbers 8:9 - You shall present the Levites before the Tent of Meeting. You shall assemble the whole congregation of the children of Israel.
  • Numbers 8:10 - You shall present the Levites before Yahweh. The children of Israel shall lay their hands on the Levites,
  • Numbers 8:11 - and Aaron shall offer the Levites before Yahweh for a wave offering on the behalf of the children of Israel, that it may be theirs to do the service of Yahweh.
  • Numbers 8:12 - “The Levites shall lay their hands on the heads of the bulls, and you shall offer the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering to Yahweh, to make atonement for the Levites.
  • Numbers 8:13 - You shall set the Levites before Aaron and before his sons, and offer them as a wave offering to Yahweh.
  • Numbers 8:14 - Thus you shall separate the Levites from among the children of Israel, and the Levites shall be mine.

  • Numbers 8:16 - For they are wholly given to me from among the children of Israel; instead of all who open the womb, even the firstborn of all the children of Israel, I have taken them to me.

  • Numbers 8:21 - The Levites purified themselves from sin, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them for a wave offering before Yahweh and Aaron made atonement for them to cleanse them.

  • Numbers 4:19 - but thus do to them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in and appoint everyone to his service and to his burden;
  • Numbers 4:20 - but they shall not go in to see the sanctuary even for a moment, lest they die.”

  • Numbers 4:22 - “Take a census of the sons of Gershon also, by their fathers’ houses, by their families;

  • Numbers 8:1 - Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
  • Numbers 8:2 - “Speak to Aaron, and tell him, ‘When you light the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the lamp stand.’”
  • Numbers 8:3 - Aaron did so. He lit its lamps to light the area in front of the lamp stand, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
  • Numbers 8:4 - This was the workmanship of the lamp stand, beaten work of gold. From its base to its flowers, it was beaten work. He made the lamp stand according to the pattern which Yahweh had shown Moses.
  • Numbers 8:5 - Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
  • Numbers 8:6 - “Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.
  • Numbers 8:7 - You shall do this to them, to cleanse them: sprinkle the water of cleansing on them, let them shave their whole bodies with a razor, let them wash their clothes, and cleanse themselves.
  • Numbers 8:8 - Then let them take a young bull and its meal offering, fine flour mixed with oil; and another young bull you shall take for a sin offering.
  • Numbers 8:9 - You shall present the Levites before the Tent of Meeting. You shall assemble the whole congregation of the children of Israel.
  • Numbers 8:10 - You shall present the Levites before Yahweh. The children of Israel shall lay their hands on the Levites,
  • Numbers 8:11 - and Aaron shall offer the Levites before Yahweh for a wave offering on the behalf of the children of Israel, that it may be theirs to do the service of Yahweh.
  • Numbers 8:12 - “The Levites shall lay their hands on the heads of the bulls, and you shall offer the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering to Yahweh, to make atonement for the Levites.
  • Numbers 8:13 - You shall set the Levites before Aaron and before his sons, and offer them as a wave offering to Yahweh.
  • Numbers 8:14 - Thus you shall separate the Levites from among the children of Israel, and the Levites shall be mine.
  • Numbers 8:15 - “After that, the Levites shall go in to do the service of the Tent of Meeting. You shall cleanse them, and offer them as a wave offering.
  • Numbers 8:16 - For they are wholly given to me from among the children of Israel; instead of all who open the womb, even the firstborn of all the children of Israel, I have taken them to me.
  • Numbers 8:17 - For all the firstborn among the children of Israel are mine, both man and animal. On the day that I struck all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, I sanctified them for myself.

  • Numbers 8:19 - I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the Tent of Meeting, and to make atonement for the children of Israel, so that there will be no plague among the children of Israel when the children of Israel come near to the sanctuary.”
  • Numbers 8:20 - Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel did so to the Levites. According to all that Yahweh commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so the children of Israel did to them.
  • Numbers 8:21 - The Levites purified themselves from sin, and they washed their clothes; and Aaron offered them for a wave offering before Yahweh and Aaron made atonement for them to cleanse them.

  • 1 Chronicles 22:5 - David said, “Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be built for Yahweh must be exceedingly magnificent, of fame and of glory throughout all countries. I will therefore make preparation for it.” So David prepared abundantly before his death.
  • 1 Chronicles 22:6 - Then he called for Solomon his son, and commanded him to build a house for Yahweh, the God of Israel.
  • 1 Chronicles 22:7 - David said to Solomon his son, “As for me, it was in my heart to build a house to the name of Yahweh my God.

  • 1 Chronicles 22:11 - Now, my son, may Yahweh be with you and prosper you, and build the house of Yahweh your God, as he has spoken concerning you.

  • 1 Chronicles 22:13 - Then you will prosper, if you observe to do the statutes and the ordinances which Yahweh gave Moses concerning Israel. Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid, and don’t be dismayed.

  • 1 Chronicles 22:18 - “Isn’t Yahweh your God with you? Hasn’t he given you rest on every side? For he has delivered the inhabitants of the land into my hand; and the land is subdued before Yahweh, and before his people.
  • 1 Chronicles 22:19 - Now set your heart and your soul to follow Yahweh your God. Arise therefore, and build the sanctuary of Yahweh God, to bring the ark of Yahweh’s covenant and the holy vessels of God into the house that is to be built for Yahweh’s name.”
