  • Jeremiah 25:11 - And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
  • Jeremiah 25:12 - And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith Jehovah, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans; and I will make it desolate for ever.
  • Jeremiah 25:13 - And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath prophesied against all the nations.
  • Jeremiah 25:14 - For many nations and great kings shall make bondmen of them, even of them; and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the work of their hands.
  • Jeremiah 25:15 - For thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, unto me: Take this cup of the wine of wrath at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.
  • Jeremiah 25:16 - And they shall drink, and reel to and fro, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.
  • Jeremiah 25:17 - Then took I the cup at Jehovah’s hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom Jehovah had sent me:
  • Jeremiah 25:18 - to wit, Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and the kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, a hissing, and a curse, as it is this day;
  • Jeremiah 25:19 - Pharaoh king of Egypt, and his servants, and his princes, and all his people;
  • Jeremiah 25:20 - and all the mingled people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, and all the kings of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Gaza, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod;
  • Jeremiah 25:21 - Edom, and Moab, and the children of Ammon;
  • Jeremiah 25:22 - and all the kings of Tyre, and all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the isle which is beyond the sea;
  • Jeremiah 25:23 - Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all that have the corners of their hair cut off;
  • Jeremiah 25:24 - and all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mingled people that dwell in the wilderness;
  • Jeremiah 25:25 - and all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes;
  • Jeremiah 25:26 - and all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another; and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.
  • Ezekiel 25:1 - And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
  • Ezekiel 25:2 - Son of man, set thy face toward the children of Ammon, and prophesy against them:
  • Ezekiel 25:3 - and say unto the children of Ammon, Hear the word of the Lord Jehovah: Thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Because thou saidst, Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land of Israel, when it was made desolate; and against the house of Judah, when they went into captivity:
  • Ezekiel 25:4 - therefore, behold, I will deliver thee to the children of the east for a possession, and they shall set their encampments in thee, and make their dwellings in thee; they shall eat thy fruit, and they shall drink thy milk.
  • Ezekiel 25:5 - And I will make Rabbah a stable for camels, and the children of Ammon a couching-place for flocks: and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.
  • Ezekiel 25:6 - For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because thou hast clapped thy hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced with all the despite of thy soul against the land of Israel;
  • Ezekiel 25:7 - therefore, behold, I have stretched out my hand upon thee, and will deliver thee for a spoil to the nations; and I will cut thee off from the peoples, and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries: I will destroy thee; and thou shalt know that I am Jehovah.
  • Ezekiel 25:8 - Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because that Moab and Seir do say, Behold, the house of Judah is like unto all the nations;
  • Ezekiel 25:9 - therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities which are on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Beth-jeshimoth, Baal-meon, and Kiriathaim,
  • Ezekiel 25:10 - unto the children of the east, to go against the children of Ammon; and I will give them for a possession, that the children of Ammon may not be remembered among the nations:
  • Ezekiel 25:11 - and I will execute judgments upon Moab; and they shall know that I am Jehovah.
  • Ezekiel 25:12 - Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because that Edom hath dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and hath greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them;
  • Ezekiel 25:13 - therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah, I will stretch out my hand upon Edom, and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; even unto Dedan shall they fall by the sword.
  • Ezekiel 25:14 - And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel; and they shall do in Edom according to mine anger and according to my wrath; and they shall know my vengeance, saith the Lord Jehovah.
  • Ezekiel 25:15 - Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with despite of soul to destroy with perpetual enmity;
  • Ezekiel 25:16 - therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Behold, I will stretch out my hand upon the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethites, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.
  • Ezekiel 25:17 - And I will execute great vengeance upon them with wrathful rebukes; and they shall know that I am Jehovah, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them.
  • Jeremiah 52:1 - Zedekiah was one and twenty years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
  • Jeremiah 52:2 - And he did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.
  • Jeremiah 52:3 - For through the anger of Jehovah did it come to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence. And Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
  • Jeremiah 52:4 - And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and encamped against it; and they built forts against it round about.
  • Jeremiah 52:5 - So the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.
  • Jeremiah 52:6 - In the fourth month, in the ninth day of the month, the famine was sore in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land.
  • Jeremiah 52:7 - Then a breach was made in the city, and all the men of war fled, and went forth out of the city by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king’s garden (now the Chaldeans were against the city round about); and they went toward the Arabah.
  • Jeremiah 52:8 - But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.
  • Jeremiah 52:9 - Then they took the king, and carried him up unto the king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath; and he gave judgment upon him.
  • Jeremiah 52:10 - And the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes: he slew also all the princes of Judah in Riblah.
  • Jeremiah 52:11 - And he put out the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him in fetters, and carried him to Babylon, and put him in prison till the day of his death.
  • Jeremiah 52:12 - Now in the fifth month, in the tenth day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadrezzar, king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, who stood before the king of Babylon, into Jerusalem.
  • Jeremiah 52:13 - And he burned the house of Jehovah, and the king’s house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, even every great house, burned he with fire.
  • Jeremiah 52:14 - And all the army of the Chaldeans, that were with the captain of the guard, brake down all the walls of Jerusalem round about.
  • Jeremiah 52:15 - Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the poorest of the people, and the residue of the people that were left in the city, and those that fell away, that fell to the king of Babylon, and the residue of the multitude.
  • Jeremiah 52:16 - But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left of the poorest of the land to be vinedressers and husbandmen.
  • Jeremiah 52:17 - And the pillars of brass that were in the house of Jehovah, and the bases and the brazen sea that were in the house of Jehovah, did the Chaldeans break in pieces, and carried all the brass of them to Babylon.
  • Jeremiah 52:18 - The pots also, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the basins, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away.
  • Jeremiah 52:19 - And the cups, and the firepans, and the basins, and the pots, and the candlesticks, and the spoons, and the bowls—that which was of gold, in gold, and that which was of silver, in silver,—the captain of the guard took away.
  • Jeremiah 52:20 - The two pillars, the one sea, and the twelve brazen bulls that were under the bases, which king Solomon had made for the house of Jehovah—the brass of all these vessels was without weight.
  • Jeremiah 52:21 - And as for the pillars, the height of the one pillar was eighteen cubits; and a line of twelve cubits did compass it; and the thickness thereof was four fingers: it was hollow.
  • Jeremiah 52:22 - And a capital of brass was upon it; and the height of the one capital was five cubits, with network and pomegranates upon the capital round about, all of brass: and the second pillar also had like unto these, and pomegranates.
  • Jeremiah 52:23 - And there were ninety and six pomegranates on the sides; all the pomegranates were a hundred upon the network round about.
  • Jeremiah 52:24 - And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the threshold:
  • Jeremiah 52:25 - and out of the city he took an officer that was set over the men of war; and seven men of them that saw the king’s face, that were found in the city; and the scribe of the captain of the host, who mustered the people of the land; and threescore men of the people of the land, that were found in the midst of the city.
  • Jeremiah 52:26 - And Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took them, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah.
  • Jeremiah 52:27 - And the king of Babylon smote them, and put them to death at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away captive out of his land.
  • Jeremiah 52:28 - This is the people whom Nebuchadrezzar carried away captive: in the seventh year three thousand Jews and three and twenty;
  • Jeremiah 52:29 - in the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar he carried away captive from Jerusalem eight hundred thirty and two persons;
  • Jeremiah 52:30 - in the three and twentieth year of Nebuchadrezzar Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the Jews seven hundred forty and five persons: all the persons were four thousand and six hundred.
  • Jeremiah 52:31 - And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the five and twentieth day of the month, that Evil-merodach king of Babylon, in the first year of his reign, lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brought him forth out of prison;
  • Jeremiah 52:32 - and he spake kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon,
  • Jeremiah 52:33 - and changed his prison garments. And Jehoiachin did eat bread before him continually all the days of his life:
  • Jeremiah 52:34 - and for his allowance, there was a continual allowance given him by the king of Babylon, every day a portion until the day of his death, all the days of his life.
  • Habakkuk 2:5 - Yea, moreover, wine is treacherous, a haughty man, that keepeth not at home; who enlargeth his desire as Sheol, and he is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all peoples.
  • Habakkuk 2:6 - Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, Woe to him that increaseth that which is not his! how long? and that ladeth himself with pledges!
  • Habakkuk 2:7 - Shall they not rise up suddenly that shall bite thee, and awake that shall vex thee, and thou shalt be for booty unto them?
  • Habakkuk 2:8 - Because thou hast plundered many nations, all the remnant of the peoples shall plunder thee, because of men’s blood, and for the violence done to the land, to the city and to all that dwell therein.
