  • Jeremiah 50:31 - “See, I am your enemy, you arrogant people,” says the Lord, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “Your day of reckoning has arrived— the day when I will punish you.
  • Jeremiah 50:32 - O land of arrogance, you will stumble and fall, and no one will raise you up. For I will light a fire in the cities of Babylon that will burn up everything around them.”
  • Isaiah 65:2 - All day long I opened my arms to a rebellious people. But they follow their own evil paths and their own crooked schemes.
  • Isaiah 53:12 - I will give him the honors of a victorious soldier, because he exposed himself to death. He was counted among the rebels. He bore the sins of many and interceded for rebels.
  • Jeremiah 51:44 - And I will punish Bel, the god of Babylon, and make him vomit up all he has eaten. The nations will no longer come and worship him. The wall of Babylon has fallen!
  • Daniel 4:37 - “Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and glorify and honor the King of heaven. All his acts are just and true, and he is able to humble the proud.”
  • Isaiah 13:11 - “I, the Lord, will punish the world for its evil and the wicked for their sin. I will crush the arrogance of the proud and humble the pride of the mighty.
  • Colossians 2:15 - In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.
  • Isaiah 25:5 - or like the relentless heat of the desert. But you silence the roar of foreign nations. As the shade of a cloud cools relentless heat, so the boastful songs of ruthless people are stilled.
  • Isaiah 10:33 - But look! The Lord, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, will chop down the mighty tree of Assyria with great power! He will cut down the proud. That lofty tree will be brought down.
  • Isaiah 16:6 - We have heard about proud Moab— about its pride and arrogance and rage. But all that boasting has disappeared.
  • Isaiah 2:11 - Human pride will be brought down, and human arrogance will be humbled. Only the Lord will be exalted on that day of judgment.
  • Isaiah 16:14 - But now the Lord says, “Within three years, counting each day, the glory of Moab will be ended. From its great population, only a feeble few will be left alive.”
  • Isaiah 14:26 - I have a plan for the whole earth, a hand of judgment upon all the nations.
  • Isaiah 5:25 - That is why the Lord’s anger burns against his people, and why he has raised his fist to crush them. The mountains tremble, and the corpses of his people litter the streets like garbage. But even then the Lord’s anger is not satisfied. His fist is still poised to strike!
