  • Isaiah 51:9 - Wake up, arm of the Lord! Wake up! Dress yourself with strength as if it were your clothes! Wake up, just as you did in the past. Wake up, as you did long ago. Didn’t you cut Rahab to pieces? Didn’t you stab that sea monster to death?
  • Romans 13:12 - The dark night of evil is nearly over. The day of Christ’s return is almost here. So let us get rid of the works of darkness that harm us. Let us do the works of light that protect us.
  • Romans 13:13 - Let us act as we should, like people living in the daytime. Have nothing to do with wild parties, and don’t get drunk. Don’t take part in sexual sins or evil conduct. Don’t fight with each other or be jealous of anyone.
  • Romans 13:14 - Instead, put on the Lord Jesus Christ as if he were your clothing. Don’t think about how to satisfy sinful desires.
  • 1 Thessalonians 5:8 - But we belong to the day. So let us control ourselves. Let us put on our chest the armor of faith and love. Let us put on the hope of salvation like a helmet.
  • Ephesians 6:14 - So remain strong in the faith. Put the belt of truth around your waist. Put the armor of godliness on your chest.
  • Ephesians 6:17 - Put on the helmet of salvation. And take the sword of the Holy Spirit. The sword is God’s word.
