  • Judges 16:20 - Then she called, “Samson, the Philistines are upon you!” He awoke from his sleep and thought, “I’ll go out as before and shake myself free.” But he did not know that the Lord had left him.
  • Ephesians 5:3 - But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.
  • Ephesians 5:4 - Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.

  • 1 Kings 21:8 - So she wrote letters in Ahab’s name, placed his seal on them, and sent them to the elders and nobles who lived in Naboth’s city with him.
  • 1 Kings 21:9 - In those letters she wrote: “Proclaim a day of fasting and seat Naboth in a prominent place among the people.
  • 1 Kings 21:10 - But seat two scoundrels opposite him and have them bring charges that he has cursed both God and the king. Then take him out and stone him to death.”
  • 1 Kings 21:11 - So the elders and nobles who lived in Naboth’s city did as Jezebel directed in the letters she had written to them.
  • 1 Kings 21:12 - They proclaimed a fast and seated Naboth in a prominent place among the people.
  • 1 Kings 21:13 - Then two scoundrels came and sat opposite him and brought charges against Naboth before the people, saying, “Naboth has cursed both God and the king.” So they took him outside the city and stoned him to death.
  • 1 Kings 21:14 - Then they sent word to Jezebel: “Naboth has been stoned to death.”
  • 1 Kings 21:15 - As soon as Jezebel heard that Naboth had been stoned to death, she said to Ahab, “Get up and take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite that he refused to sell you. He is no longer alive, but dead.”
  • Revelation 19:20 - But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.
  • Mark 14:55 - The chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were looking for evidence against Jesus so that they could put him to death, but they did not find any.
  • Mark 14:56 - Many testified falsely against him, but their statements did not agree.
  • Mark 14:57 - Then some stood up and gave this false testimony against him:
  • 2 Chronicles 10:13 - The king answered them harshly. Rejecting the advice of the elders,
  • 2 Chronicles 10:14 - he followed the advice of the young men and said, “My father made your yoke heavy; I will make it even heavier. My father scourged you with whips; I will scourge you with scorpions.”
  • 2 Chronicles 10:15 - So the king did not listen to the people, for this turn of events was from God, to fulfill the word the Lord had spoken to Jeroboam son of Nebat through Ahijah the Shilonite.
  • 2 Chronicles 10:16 - When all Israel saw that the king refused to listen to them, they answered the king: “What share do we have in David, what part in Jesse’s son? To your tents, Israel! Look after your own house, David!” So all the Israelites went home.
  • 2 Samuel 13:26 - Then Absalom said, “If not, please let my brother Amnon come with us.” The king asked him, “Why should he go with you?”
  • 2 Samuel 13:27 - But Absalom urged him, so he sent with him Amnon and the rest of the king’s sons.
  • 2 Samuel 13:28 - Absalom ordered his men, “Listen! When Amnon is in high spirits from drinking wine and I say to you, ‘Strike Amnon down,’ then kill him. Don’t be afraid. Haven’t I given you this order? Be strong and brave.”
  • 2 Samuel 13:29 - So Absalom’s men did to Amnon what Absalom had ordered. Then all the king’s sons got up, mounted their mules and fled.
  • 2 Samuel 15:2 - He would get up early and stand by the side of the road leading to the city gate. Whenever anyone came with a complaint to be placed before the king for a decision, Absalom would call out to him, “What town are you from?” He would answer, “Your servant is from one of the tribes of Israel.”
  • 2 Samuel 15:3 - Then Absalom would say to him, “Look, your claims are valid and proper, but there is no representative of the king to hear you.”
  • 2 Samuel 15:4 - And Absalom would add, “If only I were appointed judge in the land! Then everyone who has a complaint or case could come to me and I would see that they receive justice.”
  • 2 Samuel 15:5 - Also, whenever anyone approached him to bow down before him, Absalom would reach out his hand, take hold of him and kiss him.
  • 2 Samuel 15:6 - Absalom behaved in this way toward all the Israelites who came to the king asking for justice, and so he stole the hearts of the people of Israel.
  • Isaiah 30:27 - See, the Name of the Lord comes from afar, with burning anger and dense clouds of smoke; his lips are full of wrath, and his tongue is a consuming fire.
  • Proverbs 6:19 - a false witness who pours out lies and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.
  • Numbers 31:16 - “They were the ones who followed Balaam’s advice and enticed the Israelites to be unfaithful to the Lord in the Peor incident, so that a plague struck the Lord’s people.
  • 2 Thessalonians 2:9 - The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie,
  • 2 Thessalonians 2:10 - and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
  • 2 Thessalonians 2:11 - For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie
  • 2 Thessalonians 2:12 - and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.
  • Proverbs 1:10 - My son, if sinful men entice you, do not give in to them.
  • Proverbs 1:11 - If they say, “Come along with us; let’s lie in wait for innocent blood, let’s ambush some harmless soul;
  • Proverbs 1:12 - let’s swallow them alive, like the grave, and whole, like those who go down to the pit;

  • Titus 1:11 - They must be silenced, because they are disrupting whole households by teaching things they ought not to teach—and that for the sake of dishonest gain.
  • Revelation 13:14 - Because of the signs it was given power to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived the inhabitants of the earth. It ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived.
  • Jeremiah 20:10 - I hear many whispering, “Terror on every side! Denounce him! Let’s denounce him!” All my friends are waiting for me to slip, saying, “Perhaps he will be deceived; then we will prevail over him and take our revenge on him.”

  • 3 John 1:10 - So when I come, I will call attention to what he is doing, spreading malicious nonsense about us. Not satisfied with that, he even refuses to welcome other believers. He also stops those who want to do so and puts them out of the church.
