Jeremiah 25:34 - Wail, you shepherds, and cry out. Roll in the dust, you leaders of the flock. Because the days of your slaughter have come, you will fall and become shattered like a precious vase.
Jeremiah 25:35 - Flight will be impossible for the shepherds, and escape, for the leaders of the flock.
Jeremiah 25:36 - Hear the sound of the shepherds’ cry, the wail of the leaders of the flock, for the Lord is destroying their pasture.
Jeremiah 23:11 - because both prophet and priest are ungodly, even in my house I have found their evil. This is the Lord’s declaration.

Jeremiah 23:15 - Therefore, this is what the Lord of Armies says concerning the prophets: I am about to feed them wormwood and give them poisoned water to drink, for from the prophets of Jerusalem ungodliness has spread throughout the land.
Ezekiel 34:21 - Since you have pushed with flank and shoulder and butted all the weak ones with your horns until you scattered them all over,
John 10:12 - The hired hand, since he is not the shepherd and doesn’t own the sheep, leaves them and runs away when he sees a wolf coming. The wolf then snatches and scatters them.

Ezekiel 22:28 - Her prophets plaster for them with whitewash by seeing false visions and lying divinations, saying, ‘This is what the Lord God says,’ when the Lord has not spoken.
Ezekiel 22:29 - The people of the land have practiced extortion and committed robbery. They have oppressed the poor and needy and unlawfully exploited the resident alien.
Matthew 23:13 - “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. For you don’t go in, and you don’t allow those entering to go in.
Matthew 23:15 - “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to make one convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a child of hell as you are!
Matthew 23:16 - “Woe to you, blind guides, who say, ‘Whoever takes an oath by the temple, it means nothing. But whoever takes an oath by the gold of the temple is bound by his oath.’
Matthew 23:17 - Blind fools! For which is greater, the gold or the temple that sanctified the gold?
Matthew 23:18 - Also, ‘Whoever takes an oath by the altar, it means nothing; but whoever takes an oath by the gift that is on it is bound by his oath.’
Matthew 23:19 - Blind people! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that sanctifies the gift?
Matthew 23:20 - Therefore, the one who takes an oath by the altar takes an oath by it and by everything on it.
Matthew 23:21 - The one who takes an oath by the temple takes an oath by it and by him who dwells in it.
Matthew 23:22 - And the one who takes an oath by heaven takes an oath by God’s throne and by him who sits on it.
Matthew 23:23 - “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You pay a tenth of mint, dill, and cumin, and yet you have neglected the more important matters of the law — justice, mercy, and faithfulness. These things should have been done without neglecting the others.
Matthew 23:24 - Blind guides! You strain out a gnat, but gulp down a camel!
Matthew 23:25 - “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.
Matthew 23:26 - Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup, so that the outside of it may also become clean.
Matthew 23:27 - “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which appear beautiful on the outside, but inside are full of the bones of the dead and every kind of impurity.
Matthew 23:28 - In the same way, on the outside you seem righteous to people, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
Matthew 23:29 - “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You build the tombs of the prophets and decorate the graves of the righteous,
Micah 3:11 - Her leaders issue rulings for a bribe, her priests teach for payment, and her prophets practice divination for silver. Yet they lean on the Lord, saying, “Isn’t the Lord among us? No disaster will overtake us.”
Micah 3:12 - Therefore, because of you, Zion will be plowed like a field, Jerusalem will become ruins, and the temple’s mountain will be a high thicket.
Matthew 15:14 - Leave them alone! They are blind guides. And if the blind guide the blind, both will fall into a pit.”
Jeremiah 50:6 - My people were lost sheep; their shepherds led them astray, guiding them the wrong way in the mountains. They wandered from mountain to hill; they forgot their resting place.
Zephaniah 3:3 - The princes within her are roaring lions; her judges are wolves of the night, which leave nothing for the morning.

Isaiah 56:12 - “Come, let me get some wine, let’s guzzle some beer; and tomorrow will be like today, only far better!”
Jeremiah 22:22 - The wind will take charge of all your shepherds, and your lovers will go into captivity. Then you will be ashamed and humiliated because of all your evil.
Luke 11:42 - “But woe to you Pharisees! You give a tenth of mint, rue, and every kind of herb, and you bypass justice and love for God. These things you should have done without neglecting the others.

Luke 11:45 - One of the experts in the law answered him, “Teacher, when you say these things you insult us too.”
Luke 11:46 - Then he said, “Woe also to you experts in the law! You load people with burdens that are hard to carry, and yet you yourselves don’t touch these burdens with one of your fingers.
Luke 11:47 - “Woe to you! You build tombs for the prophets, and your fathers killed them.
Luke 11:48 - Therefore, you are witnesses that you approve the deeds of your fathers, for they killed them, and you build their monuments.
Luke 11:49 - Because of this, the wisdom of God said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they will kill and persecute,’
Luke 11:50 - so that this generation may be held responsible for the blood of all the prophets shed since the foundation of the world —
Luke 11:51 - from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who perished between the altar and the sanctuary. “Yes, I tell you, this generation will be held responsible.
Luke 11:52 - “Woe to you experts in the law! You have taken away the key to knowledge. You didn’t go in yourselves, and you hindered those who were trying to go in.”
Jeremiah 12:10 - Many shepherds have destroyed my vineyard; they have trampled my plot of land. They have turned my desirable plot into a desolate wasteland.

Ezekiel 34:5 - They were scattered for lack of a shepherd; they became food for all the wild animals when they were scattered.
Ezekiel 34:6 - My flock went astray on all the mountains and every high hill. My flock was scattered over the whole face of the earth, and there was no one searching or seeking for them.
Ezekiel 34:7 - “‘Therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the Lord.
Ezekiel 34:8 - As I live — this is the declaration of the Lord God — because my flock, lacking a shepherd, has become prey and food for every wild animal, and because my shepherds do not search for my flock, and because the shepherds feed themselves rather than my flock,
Ezekiel 34:9 - therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the Lord!
Ezekiel 34:10 - “‘This is what the Lord God says: Look, I am against the shepherds. I will demand my flock from them and prevent them from shepherding the flock. The shepherds will no longer feed themselves, for I will rescue my flock from their mouths so that they will not be food for them.
Zechariah 11:15 - The Lord also said to me, “Take the equipment of a foolish shepherd.
Zechariah 11:16 - I am about to raise up a shepherd in the land who will not care for those who are perishing, and he will not seek the lost or heal the broken. He will not sustain the healthy, but he will devour the flesh of the fat sheep and tear off their hooves.
Zechariah 11:17 - Woe to the worthless shepherd who deserts the flock! May a sword strike his arm and his right eye! May his arm wither away and his right eye go completely blind!”
Jeremiah 10:21 - For the shepherds are stupid: They don’t seek the Lord. Therefore they have not prospered, and their whole flock is scattered.
