Ezra 4:7 - In the days of Artaxerxes also, Bishlam, Mithredath, Tabel, and the rest of their companions wrote to Artaxerxes king of Persia; and the letter was written in Aramaic script, and translated into the Aramaic language.
Ezra 4:8 - Rehum the commander and Shimshai the scribe wrote a letter against Jerusalem to King Artaxerxes in this fashion:
Ezra 4:9 - From Rehum the commander, Shimshai the scribe, and the rest of their companions—representatives of the Dinaites, the Apharsathchites, the Tarpelites, the people of Persia and Erech and Babylon and Shushan, the Dehavites, the Elamites,
Ezra 4:10 - and the rest of the nations whom the great and noble Osnapper took captive and settled in the cities of Samaria and the remainder beyond the River—and so forth.
Ezra 4:11 - (This is a copy of the letter that they sent him.) To King Artaxerxes from your servants, the men of the region beyond the River, and so forth:
Ezra 4:12 - Let it be known to the king that the Jews who came up from you have come to us at Jerusalem, and are building the rebellious and evil city, and are finishing its walls and repairing the foundations.
Ezra 4:13 - Let it now be known to the king that, if this city is built and the walls completed, they will not pay tax, tribute, or custom, and the king’s treasury will be diminished.
Ezra 4:14 - Now because we receive support from the palace, it was not proper for us to see the king’s dishonor; therefore we have sent and informed the king,
Ezra 4:15 - that search may be made in the book of the records of your fathers. And you will find in the book of the records and know that this city is a rebellious city, harmful to kings and provinces, and that they have incited sedition within the city in former times, for which cause this city was destroyed.
Ezra 4:16 - We inform the king that if this city is rebuilt and its walls are completed, the result will be that you will have no dominion beyond the River.
2 Kings 10:1 - Now Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. And Jehu wrote and sent letters to Samaria, to the rulers of Jezreel, to the elders, and to those who reared Ahab’s sons, saying:
2 Kings 10:2 - Now as soon as this letter comes to you, since your master’s sons are with you, and you have chariots and horses, a fortified city also, and weapons,
2 Kings 10:3 - choose the best qualified of your master’s sons, set him on his father’s throne, and fight for your master’s house.
2 Kings 10:4 - But they were exceedingly afraid, and said, “Look, two kings could not stand up to him; how then can we stand?”
2 Kings 10:5 - And he who was in charge of the house, and he who was in charge of the city, the elders also, and those who reared the sons, sent to Jehu, saying, “We are your servants, we will do all you tell us; but we will not make anyone king. Do what is good in your sight.”
2 Kings 10:6 - Then he wrote a second letter to them, saying: If you are for me and will obey my voice, take the heads of the men, your master’s sons, and come to me at Jezreel by this time tomorrow. Now the king’s sons, seventy persons, were with the great men of the city, who were rearing them.
2 Kings 10:7 - So it was, when the letter came to them, that they took the king’s sons and slaughtered seventy persons, put their heads in baskets and sent them to him at Jezreel.
2 Kings 25:18 - And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, Zephaniah the second priest, and the three doorkeepers.
2 Kings 25:19 - He also took out of the city an officer who had charge of the men of war, five men of the king’s close associates who were found in the city, the chief recruiting officer of the army, who mustered the people of the land, and sixty men of the people of the land who were found in the city.
2 Kings 25:20 - So Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, took these and brought them to the king of Babylon at Riblah.
2 Kings 25:21 - Then the king of Babylon struck them and put them to death at Riblah in the land of Hamath. Thus Judah was carried away captive from its own land.
2 Chronicles 32:17 - He also wrote letters to revile the Lord God of Israel, and to speak against Him, saying, “As the gods of the nations of other lands have not delivered their people from my hand, so the God of Hezekiah will not deliver His people from my hand.”
Nehemiah 6:19 - Also they reported his good deeds before me, and reported my words to him. Tobiah sent letters to frighten me.
Jeremiah 21:1 - The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord when King Zedekiah sent to him Pashhur the son of Melchiah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah, the priest, saying,
Jeremiah 21:2 - “Please inquire of the Lord for us, for Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon makes war against us. Perhaps the Lord will deal with us according to all His wonderful works, that the king may go away from us.”
Nehemiah 6:5 - Then Sanballat sent his servant to me as before, the fifth time, with an open letter in his hand.
2 Kings 19:14 - And Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it; and Hezekiah went up to the house of the Lord, and spread it before the Lord.

1 Kings 21:12 - They proclaimed a fast, and seated Naboth with high honor among the people.
1 Kings 21:13 - And two men, scoundrels, came in and sat before him; and the scoundrels witnessed against him, against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, “Naboth has blasphemed God and the king!” Then they took him outside the city and stoned him with stones, so that he died.
Jeremiah 52:24 - The captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, Zephaniah the second priest, and the three doorkeepers.
Jeremiah 37:3 - And Zedekiah the king sent Jehucal the son of Shelemiah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah, the priest, to the prophet Jeremiah, saying, “Pray now to the Lord our God for us.”
Jeremiah 29:29 - Now Zephaniah the priest read this letter in the hearing of Jeremiah the prophet.
