  • Jeremiah 22:17 - But you are always thinking and looking for ways to increase your wealth by dishonest means. Your eyes and your heart are set on killing some innocent person and committing fraud and oppression.
  • Matthew 23:35 - so that on you will come all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Barachiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.

  • 2 Kings 21:6 - He passed his son through the fire and practiced divination and omen reading. He set up a ritual pit to conjure up underworld spirits, and appointed magicians to supervise it. He did a great amount of evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking him to anger.
  • Psalms 82:3 - Defend the cause of the poor and the fatherless! Vindicate the oppressed and suffering!
  • Psalms 82:4 - Rescue the poor and needy! Deliver them from the power of the wicked!
  • Jeremiah 19:4 - I will do so because these people have rejected me and have defiled this place. They have offered sacrifices in it to other gods which neither they nor their ancestors nor the kings of Judah knew anything about. They have filled it with the blood of innocent children.

  • Deuteronomy 6:14 - You must not go after other gods, those of the surrounding peoples,
  • Deuteronomy 6:15 - for the Lord your God, who is present among you, is a jealous God and his anger will erupt against you and remove you from the land.
  • Exodus 22:21 - “You must not wrong a foreigner nor oppress him, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt.
  • Exodus 22:22 - “You must not afflict any widow or orphan.
  • Exodus 22:23 - If you afflict them in any way and they cry to me, I will surely hear their cry,

  • Jeremiah 13:10 - These wicked people refuse to obey what I have said. They follow the stubborn inclinations of their own hearts and pay allegiance to other gods by worshiping and serving them. So they will become just like these linen shorts which are good for nothing.
  • Deuteronomy 8:19 - Now if you forget the Lord your God at all and follow other gods, worshiping and prostrating yourselves before them, I testify to you today that you will surely be annihilated.
