  • Psalms 132:13 - For the Lord has chosen Zion; he has desired it for his home:

  • Deuteronomy 12:10 - When you cross the Jordan and live in the land the Lord your God is giving you to inherit, and he gives you rest from all the enemies around you and you live in security,
  • Deuteronomy 12:11 - then the Lord your God will choose the place to have his name dwell. Bring there everything I command you: your burnt offerings, sacrifices, offerings of the tenth, personal contributions, and all your choice offerings you vow to the Lord.
  • Genesis 12:6 - Abram passed through the land to the site of Shechem, at the oak of Moreh. (At that time the Canaanites were in the land.)
  • Genesis 12:7 - The Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your offspring I will give this land.” So he built an altar there to the Lord who had appeared to him.
